I didn't want the video to drag on too long. This is a basic overview of what templates are for and how to create them. I can make more in depth tutorials as I gain experience and knowledge. Feel free to ask questions if you have any.
I meant to copy the content you want to make into a template, and paste it in the template page. I've found it speeds up the process. I mainly did it so the video wouldn't drag on too long. I'm not proud of this tutorial. It's not my best work. I recommend checking out the Help pages on Community Central for more information.
Those templates already exist. The Stub template comes to mind. I think it might be included on all wikis, but you'd have to check. If the Stub template doesn't work for what you need, then make your own notice template.
Ah, you mean like a quote? On the Nitro Wiki, we use the BigQuote template. Would that work for you? Here's a link: nitro.fandom.com/wiki/Template:BigQuote
@@szvkggskakg_3829kcvlacwfwfHmm, I don't know if that template would work or not. I guess my suggestion would be to browse and see what other wikis might use, or try to create something entirely new. I've never seen a template for full conversations myself, but I'm sure they exist.
@@dustydave961 hello. can you make a vid about using the bigquote or another template? i tried every way possible to put the quotes on my page but it says Template loop detected or other error codes.
@@GoliboAyı I'd be glad to help. I can't really say anything for certain without knowing the template content and how you're using it though. Would you mind sending a link? A comment reply or a message on Community Central will work. The template I mostly use is the BigQuote template on the Nitro Wiki.
The Stub template is a default template for all wikis on Fandom, so you can find it on pretty much all of them by searching "Template:Stub". If you want I can send you the code on Community Central
Sorry to hear that. I guess I was a bit too broad. I mainly intended to briefly explain the general purpose of templates. I plan to possibly make more in depth tutorials.
1:20 So I did a little mining off camera! 😡

@@dustydave961 I dont understand
@@btlplumbing4728 Sorry, I might not have understood your question. Could you elaborate?
@@dustydave961 I wanted a copy and paste for the text you pasted to make the template
Wait, you want to copy my template? Um, sure, it's the SeasonTiers template on the Nitro Wiki.
How do i make a template that warns the people about something missing in the page and etc?

Thanks dude, you saved my life 😃
Can you copy the code of the template with images then paste it?
If images are part of the template, they should copy/paste just fine. Is that what you're trying to do?
the pop up doesnt appear for edit template type
Wait, what?
@@dustydave961 i did everything correct and it didnt pop up. is there a way to copy and paste your script?
@@zapy_playz8057 You don't have to be in the editor to change the template type. You can change the template type on the template page.
How to make dialogue templates? For easy reding. For example in-game dialogues

@@dustydave961 yea something similar, but quotes are too short for dialogues. I'm talking about really big conversations here

How do I copy that?
What do you want to copy? I usually use Ctrl + C to copy content

I actually made a tutorial explaining how to use files. th-cam.com/video/ktXSXXerkt4/w-d-xo.html

I did make a tutorial on how to upload files. Uploading audio files should follow the same process.

I'm sorry. I tried to lump all the template types into one video.

@@twistasy I've been trying to improve audio quality.
Audio quality I can't understand, and you skip about 20 steps midway through by copy pasting so I can't even do a visual guide. 0/10
Yeah, this was pretty bad
@@dustydave961 I did figure out how to do it, I just copied the template from another wiki and changed the text
