I used to watch the Geeps at the South City switch yard where that Lowes or West Marine is now. Me and my grandpa would watch the newly UP acquired Cotton Belt Bloody Noses move about as the F40s ran up and down from San Francisco. Oh how I wish I could have seen the Bay Shore yard in the 50s like he did. Sorta of happy they still haven't painted all of the Bloody Nose Peninsula Geeps into UP Yellow.
I caught UP 1004 on January 2nd this year. I was onboard #14 and we were stoped in San Jose. The next track over was a Capital Corridor train and through the windows of #524, I caught a glimpse of a Cotton Belt locomotive leading some local northbound probably to San Francisco. I’m from the central coast so I see no UP traffic making 1004 my first patched locomotive I’ve seen.

@everything.trains Crew showed up at ~7-8am and usually leave around 9ish, not 100% sure tho. Glad you enjoyed!
