I like what you are saying and thank you for giving me a part of yourself that helps me to put into words something I am struggling with. Childlike, humble, serving, fear of the Lord, generosity, etc. That is, how do I be like Jesus. I know that self-deprecation, embarrassment, embarrassment, etc. are prideful. To be like a child is not doing my rotten best but, trying to remember to say I’m sorry, not comb my hair, trying not to push back on authorities/rules, try to remember to say please, try to say ouch quietly in stead of crying about or moaning about (poor me). Most of all a child will do anything to be noticed. These are what most of my many grandchildren act like. I don’t have a good model for acting like an obedient child. Jesus said, ;’Not what I want but what you want.’ He shows obedience. I often say, “Help me I can’t do this by myself.” I work on being present on time for church, personal prayer times, doctor appointments and other promises. I’m working on no embarrassment at being watched continually. I’m not tall and want to look up to my older-watch my grandsons mimic their older brothers. I know the road to hell is paved with good intentions. But, I know that Jesus sees my broken heart and knows that I WANT to please our Father in heaven like He did. (I am 76 and don’t want to feel impatient as I work with fear and trembling toward my sanctification.)
This teaching touches me so deeply. Therese, my name saint, has always been my favorite. The more I learn about her the more I love her and ask her intercession. thank you, I needed to hear this and will listen to it again because I really need to get it down in my heart: Gods great love for me in my ‘strengthlessness’ I love that ❤
Buttony trumpets. 😊 I'm going to use that with my daughter the next time trumpets come up. Which is surprisingly often, given that we don't have a trumpet.
Thank you for this beautiful teaching Fr Columba ❤🙏 Ps, why play continuous music in the background? Personally I found it very distracting, but I have hearing loss so maybe that's why....It was nice music, I just would have preferred solely Fr Columba's voice. 😊🙏
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me in my weakness and incapacity, while I offer you my lousy best today. Thank you Fr Columba. Amen.
I just appreciate Fr Columba so much.
