It's a good album, it's not a masterpiece like West Ryder or Velociraptor but it is better than the last album. That's coming from a fan who's loved them since they started and met Serge Pizzorno.

West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum is their best album by a country mile. Their debut had a good few songs on it, Empire had a couple of good ones on it, but West Ryder was brilliant the entire way through. In those albums their writing was complex, had some memorable, recognisable riffs (ie club foot, fire, underdog etc) but all the songs they've released sinced have lost all of that and instead fallen to just strumming chords. Gimme the rock Kasabian back, get rid of the acoustic bland hole we've got now.

They had so much potential, and some great songs on first 3 albums, really great influences from Krout Rock and Psych, they have shown variety but this is awful, get back to synths, krout drum beats and psych influences. When that co songwriter left early on it really affected their sound.

Kasabian are unreal in and out of the studio. I went to watch them last night in Llandundo and they were special, as they always are.

Reviews are still subjective though, it's not for them to decide whether Thomas should or shouldn't like a band or album - it's for him to.
