Advance scouting party of the Cool Tones Revolutionary Army reporting! Warm tones are pushing through in overwhelming numbers on all sides - eyes, lips, foundations... Its desperate! We're totally surrounded by peach, orange and rose gold! We're gonna to have to make a break for it while they're distracted by yet more Charlotte Tilbury. I actually have the distinction of having never, ever bought a Mac eyeshadow (!!) and like you, I don't do blue, but somehow you've just convinced me to splash out and try this palette, icy and difficult as it looked at first glance. Even though our skin tones are very different (very fair/cool-neutral) those eye looks you created are so gorgeous on green eyes that... I'm taking the leap. Thanks Rebecca, for always giving down to earth, informative, honest content and best of all, always making me laugh.

Ooo I ordered this the first day it was available. As a CTRA member, this palette called to me. I love how buildable MAC shadows are. It’s a scary thing when you have a big dark blotch of a navy blue that’s impossible to blend. Thanks for sharing!

I’m not a MAC fan but this is a beautiful palette. They’re beautiful. You can wear that blue but then you have to tweet the rest of your face. I find that applying the blue eyeshadows first, before your foundation , helps to set your tone. I never do that though. Just do what I say 😛. All of the shadows you demonstrated looked perfect on you. Thanks for another great review 😘

I love Mac. I recently bought the bronze palette along with a couple of lipsticks. I am in the process of buying the advent calendar. I am having surgery in late October,so I’m buying the advent calendar as an early Christmas present and to give myself something to look forward to.
First of all, I wish you only an easy surgery and an easy recovery. But I love the idea that you are purchasing an advent calendar to give yourself something to look forward to during recovery.

These are so pretty on your eyes. I think Mac is one of those brands that has to be given OG statud. They have been around forever. They may go in and out of popularity, but their makeup is still used by many working makeup artists. I really want to try the new Radiance foundation. I love these cool tones. Mac does a great job bundling decorative, pretty kits for the holidays. Cool team revolution is always happy to add another member. You never can count Mac out.

Very pretty palette. I have bought some MAC lipsticks recently. Back in the day I bought a lot of fluid liners, lipsticks, lipglasses, eyeshadows, blushes. I never did get into the foundation.
Their newest foundation is a good one actually. Might be a fun one to try.

I'm cool, blonde & blue - this palette works for me, every color so far (haven't tried the rose and the brown yet). Seriously a top purchase this month!
Where I'm from MAC is still popular but more so for makeup users who don't keep up with makeup trends and happenings, you know? The ones who are only familiar with department store brands. That being said, while I don't care for MAC eyeshadow, I'm a fan of their lip products, blushes and powder foundation. MAC does staples very well and I'm happy they're still around even if they're not what they used to be.

Both looks look really pretty on you Rebecca. I like the “mistake “ blue application. As you said, it looks really good over the smoky shadow. I’m glad you tried the plum. It really is the best shade on you. I used to only wear MAC shadows years ago. It seems they still perform beautifully. I’ve bought so much makeup with all these reviews. I really need to control myself, however all these holiday sets are beginning to come through, but not in Australia. I’ll be starting my radiation treatment end of this week on my eye, so I don’t think I’ll be able to wear my makeup. I hope I don’t lose my eyebrow or eyelashes in the process. God, yes … I am certainly a cool-toned lover. and have not enjoyed most of the last eight years in eyeshadow. I am proud to join your CTRA. This looks like a beautiful palette, but I have never had much luck with MAC eyeshadows, so I am torn. Also, I may have simply aged out of using colors like these, even though I love them wholeheartedly. They also look terrific on you.

I have never been a huge MAC person. I had a few staples I enjoyed from back in the day to now(Mac Fix Plus, Spite lip glass, and their natural brushes). I remember being both intimidated and intrigued by the MAC counter It’s line where all the cool kids hung out😂 While I LOVED their energy, I knew it wasn’t my vibe. Fast forward to college days when I worked at Estée Lauder and still watched all the cool kids hang out at the Mac counter 😂😂
I guess all the brands that were game changers in the beauty industry are looking to discover their new selves and i get that but a part of me still yearns for the old school Mac energy with all the loud music, the dramatic makeup looks, and all the beautiful varieties of humans who graced those chairs at the MAC counter because they felt seen and beautiful. Anyhow, i could go on and on reliving days of long gone beauty brands 😂😂 This is a very pretty palette and I suspect it will do well. This is gorgeous for the Cool Tone Army!!! I must admit, I have never tried a MAC eyeshadow so I have no frame of reference, but it sounds like it is solid quality.❤
You mentioned the loud music. I remember that I would be over at the Bobbi Brown counter and I would look over and they were having so much fun and they were wearing such crazy colors and they were already dying their hair wildly and the music would just be blaring. I remember all of it so well and I was totally intimidated by it. It was just not me and I think I always still wish that it could be me. But it’s still not me. We have the exact same memory.

Cnl Cool Cat reporting - snatched one up immediately. Case is solid and feels good in the hand. Colors are smooth, buttery and gorgeous! The tiniest bit of fall out from the darkest blues, but I wasn't wearing a primer (too excited to try it!). Using a primer with the lighter colors easily brought me to the 16 hour mark. Pigment pays off. Haven't tried the taupe, brown or rose shades yet. I do recommend this palette to the Cool Tone Army Corp - blue me away!

I used to wear only MAC but then drifted off as they lost their popularity. But this has caught my eye- after just today buying the blue Pat McGrath quint that came out. 😮 I think blue is pretty on green eyes too.

I just bought this today in store. Mine didn’t have it on display, but she did open it for me to just let me see it. I LOVE it, because it’s cool-toned without it being jeweled. This is a dream if you’re a summer (in seasonal analysis) or even a winter. Cool tones are so neglected. I adored it the minute I saw it. Also got the squirt gloss in black. Lately I’ve been buying a lot of palettes. Amongst the palettes I bought, I’ve gotten this and Huda beauty rose quartz. Thinking of getting Dior silver essentials but after getting this, idk.

Cool-toned Revolution Army Color Guard Advance! 🎉🎉🎉 Love this palette, however I can replicate it with Viseart and Haus Lab palettes in my collection. If I did not, I'd definitely purchase it. The only MAC in my collection is a beautiful sparkly lip gloss.
I spit my coffee out I laughed so hard at the cool toned revolution army colorguard advance. It’s like I could hear it in my head.
I kinda love this cool toned palette. I usually buy their lip item during the holiday but none of the shades work for me. No cool toned nudes. Maybe I will get this palette. It reminds me of a Becca one from years ago.

Hello Heather! I tend towards warmer neutrals as well. This channel might be home to the cool town revolution but I do not usually wear cool tones. So this was a fun little experiment
Well I read through all the comments and it seems I’m the only one not picking up MAC holiday. I used to be exclusively MAC for years until Sephora came to Canada and opened up a world of new brands. While it all looks amazing and I was surprised at the ease of how those shades applied, I’m still not into the Ice Queen look. There is a Pat McGrath palette I’m DYING to see (5 pan Lunar Nightshade) and I’m holding out buying any eyeshadow until I see it.
I might be the home of the cool town revolution army but, as you know, I tend towards warmer neutrals so this is definitely a diversion for me as well.

This is a really pretty palette! I'm not into jewel tones or pastels, but this seems more like muted colors than jewel tones. Makes it more approachable for me. I've only purchased one Mac palette and one Mac single shadow and both were underwhelming for me. The pigment wasn't really there. This palette you demo'd showed pigment right away. I love soft purples and cool tones!

You are not ignorant at all! It’s a great question. The middle inland and northern areas of California are very different than southern California. Where I am, in Los Angeles county around the city of Los Angeles, it’s essentially a desert. But it doesn’t really get cold. The coldest we get is about high 40s Fahrenheit and that is extremely rare. Generally it is warm Even hot. This is why we have a really large population. The weather really brings people here. I would rather it be a little cooler frankly

@@hampuss884 to me, the best is to live in a cool cooler environment like you do and then take a holiday in a warm climate. Ideal. Hot all the time is a bore. Honestly.

I don't own a whole lot of Mac eyeshadows, as unfortunately, the selection is poor in the cooler section, so for the most part I don't consider the brand when buying shadows. 🙁
I would like to, though, I browsed our net and this palette skipped the Swedish market entirely it seemed.
