What a statement game from Hoggard. Malik being Malik and Walker being Walker. Need Tom to tighten up the rotations and feature Kohler/Carr/Booker more but the Spartans are looking good! Go Green!
If MSU can be consistent then they're in good shape. They have the ability they just don't seem to consistently put it together game to game. This was a HUGE must-win that they were able to get. Hall and Hoggard did what they needed to do. Now they both gotta keep doing it. Can't afford to have either of them disappear from here on out. An amazing basketball game, super fun to watch. Stack another W on Wednesday to keep rolling. Go green
At 3:02, Marcus Domask reveals where he's still learning to be a point guard with a crazy-dangerous crossover dribble right in front of closely defending AJ Hoggard. Real point guards don't do that. That looks like a young Brad Underwood, pretending to be a point guard, when doesn't yet know how and never will. Domask is better than Underwood ever was though, and he can learn to do the correct move, which is to turn (or dribble behind your back) and change hands. Obviously, Domask needs to work with Assistant Coach Chester Frazier and other Illinois guards (like Moretti and DGL) and get this issue fixed ASAP. These types of mistakes, along with Underwood's poor moves of pulling Rodgers late in games is damaging our NCAA seeding by losing to a MSU team that we ought to have beaten.
Great win for Sparty but it's so disappointing Xavier Booker can't find minutes on a team so desperate for a low post presence. Lower rated freshman big men like Yves Missi (saw him play for Baylor today) are making huge contributions for their top teams.
Yeah, shooting 37% form 3 is just like sooooooo elite. Like damn, no team's ever shoot 37% from 3, like omg. Wow. That's sooooooo crazy. Either that, or you know nothing about basketball ... hmmmm?
Subpar highlight compilation because the exclusion of free throws causes the viewer to have many blanks to fill in. There were several lead changes without explanation. Should be an easy problem for CBS to fix though…
CBS's coverage was horrible, ending broadcast of this game with 30 seconds left and Michigan State up by 4. They went to commercials and then the pregame for Gonzaga vs Kentucky. I really do not like CBS Sports.
Huge win for Michigan Stare! A must win for Michigan State!

He’s been pretty much just a spot up shooter. And on defense he gets ate up by physical teams. I like him but it seems to depend on matchups
Booker's 5 star rating was misleading. He's a project this year and needs to get tougher. He gets pushed around easily on defense.
Wow IL just STUPID lucky from the 3 or else it would have been a blow out.

@colejames423 lol w/e you say/think. I don't want to make you feel stupid so I'll just leave it at that.
Good Fucking Win! Go Green!

8 v 5 always wins
You’re an absolute moron if you think the refs were on MSUs side… Refs were bad both ways, and even worse to end the game for msu.
Salt
Yeah, I saw plenty of phantom fouls just on the highlights. But Michigan State did play well.
Lmfao cry
Illinois managed to choke an 8 v 5. Yall are bigger chokers than I thought lmfao

This game sealed Big Sparty another trip to the dance! Get some baby! Big Sparty what
Big win for Sparty🪖
