Being Hard On Yourself is Unholy and Unproductive

Instead of being harsh on yourself, aim for a quiet, firm displeasure for the purpose of fueling repentance and sparking gratitude for God's mercy.
After all, no matter how many times I fail and no matter how egregious the failure, God is still waiting to welcome me.
"Why are you cast down, O my soul, why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for again I shall praise him, my help and my God." PS 42:11
