      There’s no way! If your talking about encounters at cafes or in work place a lot of people (including myself) put on a more accented voice to seem calmer and many of these accents sound British/americanised.

    Just an FYI: An accent is based off of different languages, while a dialect is based on a singular language spread through different regions.
    An Australian speaker has a dialect that was derived from Britain.
    A Spanish speaker, would have an accent that is created through the blend of there native language and the one they are speaking.

    • @myjfff
      @myjfff 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alana Thomson well then you can't notice what im saying since u r australian....australians do sound a bit american-ish in the intonation

    • @alanathomson6329
      @alanathomson6329 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +myjfff No we are completely polar opposites in the accents. I have an American father who has a California accent, and I have an aunt with a Texan accent plus I've heard every other possible American accent and none of them sound similar to the Australian accent, in this case the Aussie accent sounds nothing like an American accent, not even in the tone nor pronunciation. Oh well who cares anyway! I hope you have a good day mate!

    I'm brazilian, I studied english for 3 years in Brazil, but I learned the american english in my school, so my accent is a mix of portuguese and american english.
    Now I'm in Australia and I came to here to improve my english. Some words are difficult to undestand, but is not so different, like brazilian portuguese and the portuguese from Portugal, the difference is so big!
