Had one the same with 17" Azev A wheels, bought it for £3100 in the early 2000's (remember thinking I paid too much for it). Sold it to a chap from northern Ireland.
I would be scared to drive it because it's so clean. :D It now makes me think that the new M2's side view with the side skirts and wide wheel arches looks a bit like the E30 M3 from front wheel to back wheel...
You must watch this video at least in HD to be able to appreciate the beauty of the work done on it! A masterpiece design that has been restored by a time machine 👌

That is without a doubt my all time favorite car, but unfortunately have not owned one ,yet. While on one hand the restoration is perfect, but not driving it is a crime. I don't think I would daily it, but I would use it properly on weekends. The inflated value that people think these are worth is just absurd nowadays which is what has kept me out of one. This thing along with an old MK2 Golf Rallye , and a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 16V would be an EPIC garage collection!

You may remember we talked BMW i3s when you bought one for your good lady. All I’ve done to my one is to replace the worn out rear tyres with i8 fronts. Any how I’ve picked my replacement car for when the lease runs out… Smart #1 Brabus.. Without further ado - the power output is confirmed at 422 hp combined. The front motor has 154 hp and 200 Nm of torque while the rear motor pushes 268 hp and 343 Nm of torque. The combined figure for torque is 543 Nm. Those numbers translate to a blistering 3.7 seconds sprint from 0 to 100 kph. Those numbers make the Smart #1 Brabus faster than Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Diablo. This city car that wants to be a crossover is as fast as Ferrari 360 Modena.
That car is utterly stunning, I had one in white but was hit with a kerb stone falling off a truck on a slip road and Destroyed it. Honestly guys, what a buy!!

Hi, regarding your cover shown at the beginning: can you tell which company for covers you recommend? I am also starting building my garage and I need something that will keep the dust out of the cars, especially in winter season when I don't use them. Unfortunately BMW covers for older M cars are not available.
Hi, this one came with the car. It is a good quality, nice and soft, decent thickness, and it fits really well even around the rear wing. It was made by Classic Additions. Where it lives in an active workshop we then put a clear plastic cover over that cover to stop all the dust etc sitting on to the fabric.

I also cover all my cars in full PPF (as I want to own them indefinitely), but still my M5 E60 gets driven once a 1-2 months and will sit now whole winter, so I am trying to find some good solution here for a cover that will do its job and look proper aesthetically. Which is not that simple as I initially thought it might be.

I also think the restorers should have painted the whole under floor in body. I’ve never seen a BMW with a half painted floor like that; all three our our E30 M3’s and basically every other BMW I’ve ever owned has always been fully painted from the factory
I can’t think of a single factory BMW I’ve seen that is painted completely underneath. The underside colour is just overspray from painting the lower side of the body, and there isn’t accommodation on the production line for getting underneath the car to paint it properly. Some cars will get a bit more colour underneath, others will have barely any. Saying that, full underside colour does look great, but was not the objective of the previous owners restoration.
@@EvolveAutomotive in contrast, I cannot think of a single bmw where I haven’t seen full body colour (trust me, I’ve had a few 😜) Only on alfas have I seen a half colour underbody, and look how well they lasted!! Lovely car Imran. Mashallah

I’ll double check at my mates garage now as you’ve got my thinking. I’m confident my Schwarz E30 M3 was Schwarz all over, same for our white one, and our gloss black sport evo. I’ll double check with my brother cos I may be going mad
If you take a look at some of Matt’s E36 Touring project you can see how the colour bleeds underneath and towards the middle it’s just the colour of the products used.
Imran, the sidemarkers on the front fenders are installed incorrectly. Each sidemarker is installed on the wrong side of the car. They need to be flipped sides and orientation. Take a look at sample photos from the era. This is a common error people make when replacing sidemarkers on the E30 and E36. Amazing restoration otherwise, can't wait to see more content on it.

Resto cost would be around £100k if you paid someone to do it
