Just gotta risk it sometimes for that good time! PS it doesn’t always pay off and I definitely die sometimes 😂. Super excited for Rise, will be playing Switch Axe mostly. Can’t wait to try out Magnamalo this weekend probably the monster I’m most excited for in the game 😁

Troy Dickenson Thanks! Switch axe takes a bit more practice than other weapons I think, but it’s totally worth it! I gotta get back to using it again, it’s been awhile 😀
I'm just getting back into this game after playing mhw, and I am just terrible at the switch axe lol. Would you have any tips for someone who sucks? xD
Troy Dickenson There’s no shame in using evasion +1/2 or evade extender, I almost always use one of those for fights I haven’t practiced a lot. Using the lock on helps a lot too so the monster is always centered in front of you so you can always see exactly what they’re doing. Other than that just practice mostly 😀
Nice run, those sidestep evades at the start were beautiful. Also, never thought about using Alchemy for the moveset only. I've always avoided this style because of the barrel management 😔.
Totally! I was hoping I didn’t get called a cheater for using heroics actually lol, the super low health was purely an accident and I’m amazed I didn’t die from another chip damage hit. Not a perfect run, but probably the most epic one I’ve done, almost died so many times 😆

For the double slash in sword mode. It’s better for stun locking his head than the vertical slash with striker, while still having the 3 arts. I didn’t get any long stunlocks here but it’s possible to get 20+ hits to his head in a row without him moving if you’re able to get the positioning and timing just right
