Unlike many metal bands that for some reason they play their songs faster live, I love that Obituary doesn't speed their tempo when playing live, it crushes!
I was so glad to be at this show. I saw them early on in 1993 in Denver at one of the clubs, I still have the longsleeve from that show. Just killer to see they are still at and better than ever. Excellent pairing with Amon Amarth. A great red rocks show not to be forgotten. Best hair in death metal? I second that, along with killer old school death metal, the real deal!
Pretty awesome, to think I saw these guys live exactly 30 years ago in 94 for their End Complete Tour in Green Bay Wisconsin...still remember that show
man i remember seeing them live in 94' as well with cannibal corpse plus special guests malevolent creation and paul masvidal's band Cynic..it was the most brutal show i ever attended i still have neck problems stemming from that show from all headbanging that night lol..been a longtime obituary fan since cause of death came out in 90' im 51 now and still blast this band out my car and garage ..my neighbors hate me but fck em 🤘😆🤘
Very cool. I live in Denver but wasn't able to make it. I saw Obituary back in 1997 at the Mason Jar when I lived in Phoenix, AZ. I met Rob Halford at that show.
Probably Obituary are 5th most important death metal band of all time hailing from highlighted American school. The album Cause of Death was landmark in metallic industry.
@@dusandestanovic5884 I'd not say you're wrong, but I can't agree.Death will always be the most important death metal band, and Cannibal Corpse in terms of selling and popularity today became the main bratch in trading.Ahead Cannibal Corpse being likely the mainly bestselling death metal band of all time.
damn bro what did you use to record this show ??the sound and the video was amazing ..wish you would attended the aftershock festival this past weekend in sacramento california ..all the performances that have been uploaded to youtube had very poor video and really poor audio..they would of sounded awesome had you did that festival lol
Hey, thanks a lot! It's just a Pixel 8 Pro. The sound from Obituary was exceptionally good (as always), so that helped a lot. We would have loved to have seen Slayer at Aftershock.
@@metalrockconcerts4k ohhh trust me bro me too which is why i was really disappointed with the ones that got to go didnt capture it well ..i wasnt able to make it myself due to work obligations ..ive seen slayer multiple times dating back from 90' - 22' but this one at aftershock was special it was the first of 4 shows they were doing then back to retirement they are gonna go lol
all epic albums !!! but there is something about world demise that will always be in my top 3 albums from them .. the guitars sound awesome on that album..i could play that album cover to cover without stopping its that good in my opinion just like the cause of death album
I like the fact that I have never seen this dude play anything else than a Strat for the last 25 years at least. No V's, no Les Paul, no bizarrely shaped guitars. Just a strat, distortion, saturation, volume. And let's do it. The way a garage band would do. And maybe that's exactly what we miss is nowadays bands.
i totally agree with you on that ..trevor has always used just a simple strat and the way he gets it to punch as hard as he gets it to do on every song is gonna be legendary !!!
OBITUARY Destroying Red Rock ! Best vocals in Death Metal (insert gentle here ) OBITUARY and CARCUS are state of the art (Choose genre) extreme metal !
Obituary is always killer live, but how can you film a show at Red Rocks and not show that awesome venue?!? Or the crowd?!? For all we know, that could be a show at some shithole in Nebraska.
Yeah, an oversight on my part although I did get some crowd shots during the other bands. Obituary got some cool shots at least. instagram.com/p/C6HR8bRuKRJ
@@metalrockconcerts4k Truth is I'm super jealous. I saw Metallica, Anthrax, and White Zombie (as well as some mellower bands) there when I lived in Colorado, but never thought death metal royalty would play there. Had to have bern killer?!? I'll check out some of your other footage! Thank you!
Can’t have a great long setlist when they are the second band up. I’m sure Frozen Soul had a super short set too. This show was clearly all about Cannibal Corspe and Amon Amarth.

Yeah, totally, and they always sound exceptional live!
The absolute best hair in death metal!!!
I dunno… Possessed had legit great hair. Between Jeff and Mike (Tarrao) it’s a tough choice.
There’s a reason why they’re endorsed by Pantene
soul-
you haf retared lol
Love for this band goes back to 1990 with slowly we rot.#1
Vocals are spectacularly brutal . One of the best of the genre
Wasn't really familiar with them until now. Love this. Thank you for sharing!!
cause of death is one of the best death metal albums ever made check it out
I discovered obituary live in a sepultura show last month. I came looking for them in TH-cam after being blown away by their live performance

Seen them also in 94 with Cannibal Corpse when I was 17 at Bogarts in Cincinnati. I still have the ticket stub. Still love this music at 47!!
I live in Green Bay, just saw them for the first time last month in Madison!
Saw them in ‘97 in San Jose Ca, what a great time.

One of the best, the gooviest with the most unique voice and guitarsound.
That guitar tone is unmistakable, legends!
Obituary, at red rocks. Now this should have happened 20 years ago at least!!!!
The beer was cold, the bud was fantastic, weather was awesome and the show was great!!
I was there! Great show!
Dam I coudn't stop listening to this.....
Sounds fantastic, thanks for the upload!
I was there man! I was THERE!
John Tardy is a beast
Ill say one thing...They have an awesome sound man. They sound great! I never got into them much but they are sounding great!
Obituary is the best🤘
Nice to see Obituary play Red Rocks!
Was there. Yes great show. Corpse put it on too. Obituary hasn't lost a step
Одна из первых команд, открывших для меня мир таинственного и мрачного дэт-метала.
I should have been at this show

Lol.
Love it
Florida Death Metal!!!!
Fuk yeah 🤘👹🔥
i just saw these cats last night at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach....with Frozen Soul Cannibal Corpse and Amon Amarth
Awesome, it's a great line up.
By the end of the concert Trevor's hair grew another inch
Seasoned pros.
👏👏👏👏👏

Got to your comment right at the time he went rawwwllll and TH-cam somehow asked if I needed it translated to English 😂
Third!!!!
And being third is okay - unless its a 3 man competition.
Бля это ж команда молодости нашей))))😂🤟
Great set! They're going to need a bigger stage soon tho, if Terry "MAGA" Butler keeps on expanding horizontally
So is John...lol

Did they open for someone there? Would love to see some Death Metal in the bowels of a mountain.
They open for Amon amarth and cannibal corpse they are all on tour together
Psh .. Amon Amarth should have opened.

Definitely!
Terry butler is older than old school.
and dumber than a box of rocks
Only thing they need to get totally updated for the New Era, is adding some blast beatings. Other than that, they're risking getting boring.
Ngl but this was a Disappointing set list for this tour.
i mean, they've been recycling the same riffs/music since Cause of Death... but they're still entertaining live tho.

@@jma6893 this...I respect the longevity and they seem like cool dudes but after the first 2 albums, its pretty generic and bland to these ears
Cool lead around the 13:30 mark.
Betcha their tour bus smells of horrid farts.
