There was a time when we used to Destroy the Fountain with Kardel Sharpeye (Sniper)
Cm could frostbite fountain for 10 seconds and ursa could stack passive on it.

Honestly, the old map looks and feels more alive than what we have now. Not that i hate the feel of the new map, but it looks like a plastic model prop as compared to the old ones.
Old Radiant map feels like a true forest, while the new map seems too bright. Old Dire map was truly dire as it is more hellish rather than new ones.
Plus, the model for the new map looks unpolished. The old map has a higher definition simply because the model is well crafted.
It feels huge too. The new map is smaller and it has less details Sadge
They didnt have as many cosmetics back then and the more cosmetics there are in the game the lower quality of everything else including the map isnt it?

Man i miss the old dota... my cousin introduced me to it and the old dark aesthetic and realistic look is what i fell in love with. it's too cartoony now i wish they let us switch textures have that as an option maybe

6.84 imo was the best update and the last before the game deteriorated into a mess in a race against itself to be unique

@@denizgoktas116 Also not a mid player, but that would make sense. I just remember that every pro game I watched at the time the announcers would be shouting about the RTZ block because it was a game changer. I do remember trying it on radiant, but not on dire. Your comment is probably why

Not only were bots functional, they actually played dota back then. The current ones, even community made, spend the lane phase just jiggling about before running around as 5...
Man DotA 1 bots were the real deal. If you lost mid that mf later would be abussing everyone in your team. They were better gankers also.
Dota the way it was back when I was discovering it, and enjoying it a lot. Played with friends, made friends playing and I rarely had to solo queue. Had the time (and stamina) to queue 4-5 games in a row. Nowadays? The enjoyment is all but gone. I mostly play out of habit, and a sad solo queue is the norm as most of my friends just quit the game. Even when I got the time I can barely stomach 2 games in a row. Where has the magic gone?
Magic has gone by introducing ranked, which gave us stress and fear when losing games. 🙂

Just found out about this project today. I never would have stopped playing if they didn’t fuck up the game so badly right after this update. I would have preferred the TI3 update, which I think was 6.74 or .78, but even .84 is so much better than what we have now. So many aspects of the game, from the movement, to the health and damage, to the presentation are just better than the live version on Steam.
DotA 2 is the best game I have ever played by such a margin that it’s almost comical. I only wish it was still a supported game.
