How to Organize a CAMP KITCHEN (in a Toolbox) 🏕️

- I saw this idea about three years ago and finally made it happen. I used to have our camping gear organized in bins. I edited the stuff we were not really using anymore and organized all my camp kitchen in this Dewalt Rolling toolbox. Everything has its designated spot. Enjoy!
Here are the videos that I got this idea:

Thank you for the shoutout!!! Great job on the box! 🎉
Of course! Thanks for your genius! I love my camp kitchen! 🏕️🙌🏼
haha..... I LOVE how you threw in "we're Filipino" so we eat Rice with everything..... YES WE DO!!!! Great video! HELLA orgainzed and I've taken away so much ideas from this... THANK YOU!! SALAMT!!!!
Kabayan! Great to have you here. Walang anuman. #riceislife
I camp out of my minivan and this works well. Doesn't take up a lot of space and can keep my supplies all in one place.
Fantastic! We were just in South Lake Tahoe. Me and the hubster decided we need to camp here. So I will be setting up our SUV for SUV camping. So excited!
@@SimplyCherie Take a trip to Valhalla. beautiful spot to see how the rich used to live there.
I love everything!!!!!! Finally space saving ideas instead of showing a bunch of stuff I don’t need and takes up too much space!!! Thank you!!!!
Thanks so much, Erica.
I agree on having a real meal during camping and not just heating up canned whatever lol.
Well, real meals were a way to get my family to go camping in the beginning. Now it's just what it is.
You are so organized. It was truly a pleasure to see your organization of camp kitchen supplies. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Well we need to go camping more often so I can put this kitchen together...I love it!
Yes! We’ve gone camping for years as tent campers. And this has been the best system for us. Have a nice weekend.
I love this! Totally making me want to build a similar setup and we don’t even go camping enough to make a kit like this. But I love all the organizing!!! Just makes things so much easier!
Go for it! You can always look for something similar but smaller. The key is having everything in one place. Better if the container has compartments. That's why tool boxes or fishing tackle boxes are good.
I don’t have enough camping kitchen wares to make it designated solely for kitchen stuff but I could utilize it for all my camping gear minus food and clothing. Thank you for the suggestion. So ingenious! 😊
I agree. Once you get the rolling toolbox, bring all your stuff to it. Then start doing Tetris and see what fits. It also helped me let go of stuff because there were not enough compartments. It just feels good to know everything is here.
I absolutely enjoyed how organized you are. I feel I met a kindred spirit. Thank you.
Love that! My kindred spirit! I watch Fish13 and think he's my kindred spirit.
Really a wonderful and complete application !!! Can see having several of these ... Camp kitchen, blackout box (fire and light), camp accessories, travel BOB, ..... Also adore your labeling as a way to inventory and make sure you don't leave things behind !!
Well, I have 1 now for actual tools lol. And yes, the labeling did help me make sure I had everything back in the box. I appreciate your creative mind here...it can be used to organize any hobby, preps, and camp type travel.
I hope you are feeling better. I can tell you're struggling to breathe. I appreciate your dedication pushing through.
Hi Brenda. I'm uploading a shorter version of this video today. I noticed my breathing when I was watching the edited video and was like wow, that was a hard two months of recovering! I was just telling a friend who went through the same thing that I thought it wouldn't get better. But thank God, I'm on the healthy side again. Thank you for noticing and for the encouragement. I appreciate it.
I love how organized you are!
Thanks, Ruth! I’ll be setting up my SUV for camping slowly but surely.
This is such an amazing kit! Definitely going to start working on my own Version!!!! Thank you for the video and the ideas!!!
You are so welcome! Have fun!
Im a prepper. I love this dewalt container. Looking it up now. So exoensive. The only advice id say...get stainless steel plates and bowls..any oddlot stire and just get a set of cheapo stainless utensiks 4 pack for 1.25 at dollar stire.. i thought i was ocd! When i saw labels and all the collapsibles color coded i was likecwhoa..she beat me! I bought a large container for cooking and large container fir camping gear. Back pack for clithes. Temu has great stuff. I bought nylon bags to holdutensils. Dollar stor pasta tall container to hold tall cooking utensils...also its where u put them to dry after washing. I love the water pump idea to use fir sink. And double sink but i bought 2 collapsible buckets for washing dishes. I just bought that drying rack! Love it! A great thing i learned on cruise ship..use a hanging shoe hokder to put medical supplies and hygien products soap shapoo etc to hang.
Thanks so much for all your ideas! The stainless steel bowls and plates are a good idea. If I find ones that fit the way I like, I will be open to changing it up. I like your ideas from the Dollar Store.
This so neat to watch this would be a great kit for blackouts
That's a great idea!
we were recently hit by a hurricane...of course we had already pulled out the camping gear. we were fine
My thoughts exactly
Love this concept! Trying to justify the expense of one of those toolboxes! Things I may actually need: foldable double sink, collapsible lantern, windscreen. Those straps for the tablecloth is brilliant! I’ve tried the kind that sort of attach to a table like a fitted sheet but picnic table sizes vary so much they don’t always work. Great video thanks!
I wish I found the tablecloth straps sooner. I tried other things like clips. Those don’t fit thick tables.
I love this! Who says you need to put traditional tools in a toolbox. I'm buying one of these for my crabbing/fishing on the pier...the bottom will be used to put my live "catch" with saltwater....middle drawer will have: my portable aquarium bubbler (keeps your catch fresh), crab snares, crab gauge, pliers, etc..top box will have my snacks lol. I might consider removing the wheels and put some balloon wheels for the beach/sugar sand.
I also love that this toolbox is the 2nd revision with the wider handle...I can see the narrow handle version twisting and breaking off. Good fix Dewalt!
I used to go crabbing and smelting when I was young. Love the memories.
Is the bottom waterproof? Or did you put something to make sure it doesn't leak?
If you make it non-leakable or it is already non-leakable, then it will give way to more creative ideas like yours!
What a great idea!!!! You are way to organized...lol!!!!!! I'm going to investigate this tool box
This is like my 3rd child. It gave me great joy when I gave birth to it! 🤣
Impressive. You are so organized and neat. I need to be more like you.
Aw thank you. I'll be doing more organizing videos.
I love how you organized and labeled everything!!!!
Thanks! Labeling definitely helps putting things back in the right place.
This is so smart! I travel for work and this is a great idea!!! I love it!
Glad you like it!
Wow this is a Awesome 💡 very compact, Everything in one cabinet, looks like everything but the Kitchen Sink! Awsome 👍👌✌️🤞🙌🙏🌟🇺🇲🌻🤩
Haha. There is the double sink though lol This is one of my favorite organized “spaces”. Thanks for being here!
Love that box ,great idea. I would put the labels on the outside by
That would work, too!
Made ahead for a camping trip with turkey sausage pattie. Sandeich was frozen until ready to reheat in the fire pit. Sadly, the sausage was still cold. Took longer to reheat but these are SOOO good eaten fresh. Thanks for sharing!
Great idea to freeze those. I freeze bottled water to put in the cooler. Then use the water. I haven't frozen breakfast items but will try it.
I really love the spices bag in a toiletry bag! I have a small collection of spices in a ziploc bag for packing in a suitcase when travelling, I'd do this version of it when camping for sure.
Love it! I tested out my travel food container for air travel and hotels recently. I will do a video some time. What spices do you bring?
@@SimplyCherie I bring Moroccan seasoning, Italian Herbs, Olive Oil, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cumin seeds, Turmeric and the originals, Salt & Pepper :)
Yes a cosmetic bag is cheaper and works great! Mine is rectangular approx 3” wide, 7” long, 2.5” tall. I can fit 8 round SS containers: we love bringing taco seasoning and a Greek seasoning in addition to those specifics mentioned above.
Galing! Soooo Love how you organized everything! came here coz wanted to do the same with my Dewalt Toolbox. But jumped over when you said you are " Filipino"! Much Respect from Pinas Camper here Philippines 🇵🇭
I never got to camp when I lived there. But it seems that camping has become a thing now. Hope the toolbox worked out for you.
Wow just wow! That is so well organized! You rock!
Aw thanks so much!
Awsome tool box kitchen. Organization was perfect. Sometimes things get places where they don't go. Then they don't fit.
Thanks so much!
I like all the labeling!
Thanks! It's for me! It helps me not have to use brain power to remember.
So happy I found your channel, I was thinking of doing something like this for camping and didn’t know where to start. Thank you!
So glad you're here. I used to have bins, which worked well for years. But I wanted to trim it down to one container. Enjoy the process.
So glad I came across your channel! This will be a great Christmas gift idea for my daughter’s boyfriend 😁
I'm so glad!
We started getting serious about camping but it soon turned to glamping. We bring so much stuff so figured we’d get an RV. Still under renovation. Recently went camping with a friends RV. And yes way less packing and unpacking. But… there was a lot of pass me this and pass me that from the RV. I’m totally going to steal the idea of condiments and spices from a bathroom bag. Also the double sink is such and great idea. Ty so much.
Yes to glamping! The condiments bag is definitely a keeper. Enjoy your RV!
I am im-pressed. It suits my OCD right down to the ground. I have a rolling toolbox I have not used yet, and now I know what I am going to use it for. And don't you just love DeWalt?!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is much appreciated.
Happy camping!
We did a day in South Lake Tahoe. We have never camped there. So we will be back. I will be setting up my SUV for SUV camping. So excited! So glad this suits your OCD!
I have been considering a stackable DeWalt system for my cooking needs so finding your video was not only timely but gave me lots to think about. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! I looked at their stackable systems, too.
Brilliant, really great ideas. I learned a lot, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Love this idea! I wonder if I can find a toolbox like this in Germany. I would probably use part of the storage for our shower and laundry stuff, because that's also kind of bulky, I wonder if the box would fit behind the driver seat (I have short legs) because we don't have a suv just a stationwagon (hatchback?).
I have a stove like yours, but we got a Campingaz Party Grill 400 CV Stove it, looks a bit like a weber bbq because it has a domed lid. It has tripod feet, you can put water into the burner "pan" to catch drips, then there's the regular burner, with the circular top for pans and pots, but it also comes with a griddle! And the lid doubles as a wok/pot. It's totally worth it for us because I don't even bring a pan anymore, I use the griddle, I don't like using the lid as a pot, so I'm still bringing that, but it's great to have a lid, it kind of turns the stove into an oven.
But: we also have a tiny folding burner by primus, which we mainly use to boil water for tea and coffee, that way I can have breakfast going on the "grill" and water going on the little burner on the table fot tea and coffee. And I don't have to set up the big grill if we want more coffee in the afternoon. And for dinner, I can cook the meat and veggies on the big "grill" and have pasta or couscous or rice on the folding burner.
Great setup and the labeling is simple yet brilliant.
The wind screen ends actually push down and stake it into position when using it on dirt.
Thanks for appreciating the labels. I’m today years old about the windscreen going into the dirt - thanks!
@@SimplyCherie I keep my windscreen inside the stove case. Fits perfectly
This is SO GOOD!! Thank you! I imagine it'd be hard for bears, boars, mountain lions, mice, ants, flies, etc., to get into too plus with that awesome talecloth, dishwashing station, cleaning supplies, and all the amazing labeled organization everything could be kept clean, tidy, and low on food smells, food debris, crumbs, spills.😊 Now I'm very curious to see what other pots, pans, cooler, food tupperware, or anything else you use especially cause you're so into rice.😊 I really love my Instant Pot and been thinking on if it'd work to incorporate it. A 6 qt one needs 1,000 watts of AC battery (from Bluetti or whatever) but then Instant Pot isn't needed long and is very energy-efficient with how much electricity it actually uses. That makes a lot of food and us campers tend to have limited space for leftovers (vehicle fridges/freezers take money and space and power). So am considering switching to a 3 qt. I also don't have children.😊I also love blenders (for smoothies, salad dressings, hummus, non-dairy milk...), and small, personal size ones are available. They're a pain to clean if don't clean it right away.😊 Cutting board (maybe kind where scraps fall below into box) and knives is another must for me and stainless steel tea balls (I don't drink coffee). And trash can important (hopefully a bear-resistant dumpster around to put it into!). And I wanna get small grinders for salt, peppercorns, flax seeds.
Yes, a good obstacle for the bears! As far as rice, I cook ahead of time in a 5 cup rice cooker and bring it. I also cook the first night's meal, which is usually Filipino food. So that is a container that can be used. I don't think I showed it here, but I bring my santoku knife that's in a sleeve. I have gone through different types of knives but always make sure there is a sleeve.
Thanks for sharing this, perfect set up. Great ideas.😊
You’re welcome!
Great video! Really love your rice scooper!!!
Amazon. I was just looking for a replacement and thank goodness it was suggested. One of my favorite utensils.
Thank you! I really need to do this. Not only does it keep you organized, but it also helps you from leaving things behind!
Perfect point! I’ve been there when I’m at the campground, cold, and needing to light a fire and no lighter lol 🤦🏻♀️
You are brilliant! I just found your channel! Thank you!
Aw thanks! So glad! Welcome!
This would work great for most of my camp cooking gear, but unlike you, I can't cut it down to 1 burner. I like the idea of having more burners for more dishes. I was a 3381 Combat Cook in the Marine Corps, that might have something to do with it.
Wow! Thank you for your service. Anyone is lucky to have you in their camp!
I have a smaller cabinet like this that was used for scrapbooking embellishments and such. I have storage under the lid and compartment with lid with spices, utensils, plastic silverware, first aid kit, etc. works so well in my suv to camp.
Sounds great!
Awesome job, so prepared!
Thank you!
Creative idea of use of for campng cooking and also reusing items. (I sometime use my tools in a even creative way for household & cleaning purposes like my accu drilling towel dirty shower cabines floor after soap did help)
Do you know they have a drill now specifically for cleaning? It comes with the brushes. Someone must have seen it and said let’s make one and sell it.
This is a really great set up congrats on being so organized!
Thank you! I think it helped that I was ready to let go of the camping items I really don't utilize.
I love this idea!❤
So glad!
spoon and fork question answered for this filipina ... nice touch
Right!
Absolutely amazing! Thanks so much for sharing… You went to a lot of work! Great organization and love the labeling!
Wow, thank you!
Just wanted to say thank you. Awsome video . Gave me a lot of ideas
I'm so glad!
Great idea. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Well done Cherie!!! You gave us so many great ideas. Can’t wait to use them!
Yay! Thank you!
You look you already you already car camping, no ?
I use a bin for my camp kitchen, I like to use the GCI folding camp kitchen table to put my cooking utensils on. I typically either camp in a tent or primitive cabin. I really like your nesting plates, I haven’t seen those at Walmart.
I looked at GCI for the longest time, even had it on my wish list. I ended up getting a folding table that has different heights mainly because I can also use it for parties and events. But yeah, that GCI looks like a dream. Kudos to you for the primitive cabin! I haven’t been able to level up to that.
@@SimplyCherie I like the simplicity of primitive cabins and my son just like to play outdoors so it works for us
Thank you so much for sharing your chuck box idea! I’ve been toying with this for some time, watching videos many times over! Your organization is amazing, so helpful, thanks for sharing 😊
You are so welcome! I did the same…watched SOOO many videos. But that’s where you think, “Ok, I see how that can work for ME.” Then you try it..and tweak as needed. Have a great day.
Great ideas! Love the rolling toolbox* concept.
*You may want to research PFAS & micro-plastics regarding eating from plastics & rubber.
Be safe and have lots of Fun Camping 😃🎉🏕️
Thank you. Yeah, I was back and forth between collapsible containers and stainless steel. I might change it up. But I am not yet sure.
Started out with 5 gallon buckets and they're okay but not instant access sort of thing. Even tried the bucket boss bucket insert trays and it is still a dig down to the bottom. Others in my camping club use the stacking toolboxes. I'm starting to think I need this for my cooking supplies and another for beekeeping gear. I'm starting to need wheels on loads. I can also see this going with me to my yearly convention with my hotel room cooking supplies. Pretty much the same stuff but swapping out stoves for an electric rice cooker. Been collecting stickers to decorate it for some time and the time is now.
I can see how the 5 gallon buckets might be a little bit of a challenge to access. I did bins for years. And this has been the best solution for me. I love it.
Very nice set up!
Thanks!
Great information and ideas! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!

Where'd you get the tablecloth straps? This system is so wonderfully organized.

The other one is out of stock: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B094HM5VPJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I was going to do this but decided against it as I was worried someone would beak into my car thinking it was full of tools. Its such a goid way to organize camping stuff though & when you need it you just wheel it out to the car
We only bring it for a camping trip. So yeah, I can understand how someone would want to take this if they saw it.
Good thinking although I don’t worry about that much my pit bull guards the car and will warn me even from the tent, however if I didn’t have her that’ll be something to think about.

great kit. my recommendation is to replace silicon with steel
Hi Ran. I went back and forth with that. I will still keep it in my consideration box (that I keep in my head). I am still torn. But after we use this a few more times, I will have a better idea.
Wonderful. Thank you
You're welcome.
The issue for me with the Dewalt / Stanley (same parent company), tool box is that it isn't a sealed box, so insects can still penetrate it out in the bush, (Australia). If they made one that was dust and water proof - it would sell like hot cakes! All the best!!
That’s really interesting. I had not thought of that. We plan to continue to use this in the desert and high desert. I will have to see how it fares here. And I’ve never thought of camping out in the bush. Now that would be awesome.
@@SimplyCherie I would love a box, with drawers that is totally weatherproof, so I can pop it on the roof of the car and know that the contents were totally protected from dust and water. All the best; happy travels!!
Hi 👋🏼 I am a new subscriber and I can’t see the links to the products you show in this video. Can you tell me where to find them? TY 😎
Hi! Thanks for subbing 💜 In the description box, I list everything. There’s also a link in the description box to my Amazon store for this camp kitchen organization.
This is amazing!

Thoroughly impressed with your organizational skills! Thank you for a multitude of great ideas. Question, where did you find the elastic straps on your tablecloth?

This is so neat
Thank you so much, Charlotte.
WOW! Just WOW! #goals
Thank you! Your comment made my day.
How much does this kit way? Love the organization
Love this video! ❤️
Thank you!!
Great video. Where can I find the collapsible cups and bowls?
Thank you. They are in my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/simplycherie/list/2ANBFWM7TMLWN
Thanks for asking as now I have added them to the description box:
1. Sea to Summit Kettle with rust and sand cups: amzn.to/3NTdJ7N
2. Sea to Summit XL collapsible bowl: amzn.to/3NK40CT
3. Sea to Summit collapsible mug (16.2 oz): amzn.to/3CHRoqJ
4. Sea to Summit collapsible cup (8.3 oz): amzn.to/46glU8J
Now if we can just figure out some type of mat to use on the top lid as a cook surface.
Woah. Good idea. Could it be a cutting board and put velcro one one side to keep it in place?
Do you remember what the double sink was called? Or Is It a shoe bin or something
It's a foldable double sink basin from Coleman. I got it from Walmart. Here it is on Amazon: amzn.to/4bOhU1S
Thank you ❤😊
You're welcome 😊
I have the same system. Need to make it work better
I love this system.
What is the name of the water pump you use on the water container?
Here’s the link: amzn.to/3ACHsio
Love this
Thank you!
Are you able to lift the box loaded yourself into the vehicle and get it out yourself?
How much does your whole cart with everything you have inside, weight? Is it difficult to get in car and you you put it upwards or lay it down? I love this by the way. I have my camping equipment all over the kitchen and we don’t use it for anything else other than camping. We’re always forgetting something.
I think I used to have 6 bins for my camp kitchen and whittled it down to 3? before putting it into here and even got rid of more stuff.
We put it in our large SUV standing up in the back.
The product itself weights 21.4lbs according to Dewalt.
It's not necessarily the weight that would make it hard to lift into the back of the SUV but the bulkiness/awkwardness.
My hubby is the one who lifted it. He says to hold under the bottom and keep it close to your chest. It was not heavy for him at all.
But I tell you, once it got to my cooking area at camp, I ABSOLUTELY loved it. It was the most I ever felt organized while camping.
If you find this might not work for you, I suggest going to Walmart and checking out large tool boxes. I just really like this because of the way it opens up, has the top where I can lay things, and it rolls.
But definitely, gather all your camp kitchen stuff into some type of container.
Happy camping!
Love Love Love THIS!!!! 🥰
This is the new template for my '5 minutes evacuation my 🏡 - cooking 🧳' that lives at my front 🚪. (The food 🧳is already at the 🚪🤭😂) #DesertLife 🌵
Awesome! It is definitely mobile!
FYI .... I'm posting disaster preparedness information on my FB page everyday for Preptember .... today is your mobile kitchen 💕
It's a Beaver 🦫 the utensil.
That makes sense. Is that what you call it or that's for real the name?
@@SimplyCherie I'm not sure it's what I call it. Have a Merry Christmas.
@@jeffnorman1598 Perfect!
Looks heavy. And sadly wouldn’t fit in my Altima. But nice organization if you have room and someone to lift it for you. 😊
Yeah, it would have to be an SUV.
