Indoor Evaporative Cooler 1/4" Water Hose Connection

My Hessaire MC61M evaporative cooler is connected via a 1/4" rubber hose tubing to my indoor sink using this method. This works on my unit because there is a built in garden hose inlet that allows a garden hose to be attached, and thus may work on other brand swamp coolers with a similar hose inlet.
The hardware I used to connect a 1/4" rubber tubing hose to my unit and sink are available on Amazon (sink quick connect to garden hose; 1/4" inlet and outlet adapters; 1/4" rubber hose measured to size).
Previously I used a 5', standard 5/8" garden hose but found the 1/4" rubber tubing more convenient using less space and having more flexibility. Also, by having constant water flow into your water tank keeps the internal pump from drying out and burning up (internal pump should always have water running through it when cooling).
Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk! It's advisable not to connect a water supply to an indoor swamp cooler due to risk of water leakage resulting in damage to your floor or carpet.
