Probably the best beer ever brewed, almost supernatural in quality. Chewy, dry, fizzy, sweet, fragrant, herby, honest, undefinable. Pour it into a narrower beer glass than the traditional one, very gently so there is almost no head and watch the head grow and grow before your eyes. From the graceful bottle to the stylish logo of the trout retrieving Mathilde's ring from the lake, it's perfection.
I don't know why I waited so long to try this, but its making me realize how much I love brett flavors. It reminds me of Bam Biere without the sourness/tannins and the brett funk turned all the way up. Its absurd how drinkable this stuff is, I just wish it wasn't $7 a bottle.
Brett goes crazy sometimes and eats everything and really dries out a beer. This is my favorite Trappist beer, such an awesome brett beer and a really fun beer to age. Good review dude, cheers!
It's gotta be up there. I was quite happy with the Spencer Trappist as well. And I just have to try more Trappist beers, like the more limited ones. Cheers!
Orval... Amazingly complex and rewarding. One of my favorite beers. It's good to see you drinking this kind of beers. I always wanted to know your thoughts on some belgian beers. Cheers! (excuse my english, I'm from Spain).
Searching outside of Orval and seeking a Brett-infused beer...look no further than Gabe Fletcher and what he is doing at Anchorage Brewing Company. Everything he does is infected with Brett and with remarkable results...Bitter Monk, Galaxy White IPA, The Tide And Its Takers..all amazing stuff!
The beer is fantastic! Just got my hands on the brett culture purified from Orval bottle in a lab, hope to brew the clone in the nearest future. It is counterintuitive, but any simple sugar you add to beer actually makes it drier as yeast will consume all of that turning it into alcohol :)

My man. I need to get another bottle soon with now well you talk about it. Cheers!
Great review. Love that barnyard funk.
Love the funk! Hope more beer geeks continue to do so.
Cheers!
one of the best beers ever
A fine beer! Changes so much!

I agree. I would drink this way more without the price
Absolutely adore this beer
Delicious stuff, which it was a bit cheaper.
Cheers!
Just had one a few weeks ago for the first time in many years and it blew me away. Went right out and bought a few to start a vertical. Nice review!
That's a great idea. Good luck on your vert.
Cheers!
I always say the 2 best beers you can have is a fresh Orval followed by an aged one.
Haha, good stuff. That would be fun to do a comparison sometime.
Cheers!

Your English is fine! Yeah, I have reviewed some Belgians on the channel. I'll have to look out for more. Cheers!

For sure! That's a secret favorite of people in the industry/brewers. I wish more Anchorage came to NY.
Cheers!
Crazy, I loved when I fist had it a week ago. They say no 2 bottles will ever taste the same depending on the age
Yeah, I have to have this more to learn more nuanced differences between bottles.
Cheers!
Love Orval, one of my favorite beers when I first got into good beer.
Semi-related...have you had any Logsdon's brett saison?
It's been quite a while since I've had Seizon Bretta.
Cheers!
It's such a classic beer but I've somehow still never had it. Really need to correct that. Cheers!
Get some! And enjoy!

Exactly. Give yeast food (sugars) and it will eat it. They're hungry!
Cheers!
