Great video: may I ask a few questions? 1 I would like a dome that doesn’t look like thick magnifying glass. What’s the best glass to use? If I want to use my logo, how do I go about sizing it to fit the dome? Thank u so much. I’m excited to experiment.

You could potentially use clear glass cabochons that are flat. At this time we only have magnifying clear glass cabochons. As far as sizing goes, we recommend using photo editing software or a scanner/copier with a zoom feature. Thanks for watching!

Any inkjet printer is fine as long as you do not use photo paper. We recommend card stock. Thanks so much!

We found that 80 Lb. cardstock works the best. Photoshop is our favorite paid photo software, but there are many photo editing tools that are free. If you are on an Apple computer, you can potentially use a program like iPhoto. If you are on Windows, you should look into using a free program like Gimp. Thanks again.

And what about the bubbles that appear days later.. I’ve been using photo paper & e6000 to adhere.

Are we talking about bubbles appearing underneath the photo paper? The only way to prevent those is to be meticulous when laying the photo down onto the glue. Start with one edge of the photo and apply pressure to that edge to squeeze out the air, then continue slowly lowering it down into the glue at an angle, applying pressure as you go. If you lay it down flat the edges will seal first and the air in the middle of the photo won't have anywhere to go. Also consider using something thinner and easier to spread than E6000, it's so thick it can hide bubbles in it, and it won't lay flat the way something water based will so you might get lumps. We recommend Diamond Glaze for this kind of work: beadaholique.com/products/judikins-diamond-glaze-water-based-adhesive-2-fl-oz

Why does my picture blur after putting cabochon on top? I'm using the same glue and doing just as you taught, but what did I miss?

    • @beadaholique

Does it stay blurry after it dries? I know it can be a little blurry while drying but should dry clear. If it is still blurry after dry, it could be the quality of the paper or the ink - if the paper is too thin, it will absorb the glue and could oversaturate it, causing it to fade/blur. Some inkjet prints also bleed - if you have a chance to print on a laser printer, it can reduce any bleeding.

    Can you use E2000 glue

    • @beadaholique

I think E6000 glue will be too heavy for this application.
