Your flosstubes are so special with the added bonus of good sport Gary. He's learning the ropes of stitching the hard way and I'm glad he is willing to start over on Louis Armstrong. It's a great design for a great man.
And I'm amazed how much Amy gets done with her busy schedule! In awe.
Loved the doggie ears looking out the window behind Amy.
Thank you! :)
My husband is a huge Trekkie and has a room full of all Star Trek collectibles. Storage and display is a challenge! I enjoy seeing your collection!
Thanks for Sharing ❤❤ Happy Stitching 😊!!!
Thank you! You too!
What a fun video! You guys bring joy and make me laugh. The bowl and tray you brought back, Amy, are drop dead gorgeous! Not to mention all the stitching. 🎉
Thanks! I'm so happy to hear you like them!
Your floss tuber are so fun and I really enjoy all your beautiful projects. Safe travels.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for a wonderful update great progress on your wips. Thank you for the laughs at the end 😂 have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Thank you so much!
Wonderful progress on your beautiful projects. Glad to see that Gray has restarted his Louis Armstrong project. I just recently started using Mark Up Xp and it has been great. Sorry you lost your needle and scissors. I lose needles all the time, so I don’t have a favorite. The baskets are beautiful. The blue one has my favorite colors. Happy stitching!
Enjoyable as always and loved hearing about the trip.
Pattern keeper is indeed a game changer! I love hearing the gentle giggles as Gary makes his commentary. Amy…how on earth do you manage your jet lag….you always look so fresh and rested. 🦉🧵🪡🍂🍁
Thank you, Karen! That's really kind! I should share my jet lag tips with everyone. I still struggle with it, but I've learned some things over the years that have made a HUGE difference in my experience. Now I"m only miserable for a few days instead of an entire week. Hahaha!
I always love hearing about your travels. I laughed at venison and the Godzilla dance was just the funniest thing lol. Happy stitching to you both
I love Alf! When my daughter was little she had a stuffed Alf that was almost as big as her. Thanks for sharing your stitching. As always I enjoy catching up with the 2 of you.
Thank you!
What an interesting life you lead. I always enjoy hearing about your travels and of course your cross stitch projects. Oh yeah, Gary's stitching and action figures too.
Thank you so much!
Hi! Happy to see you guys again! Omg love you guys! Oh too funny❤😂and yea the stitching too!! Always enjoy the visit and the stitching! Safe travels and see you next time!
Great video! I enjoyed seeing and hearing about your stitching, action figures, and travels. Take care.
Thank you so much!
The bowls you brought home from Rwanda are lovely. Love the stitching update. Cabin fever is coming along well
Thank you!
I hope you had some more needles stashed away so you could stitch on the way home! 😱
Thank goodness I did! I don't know why my other needles were acceptable, but I didn't make an effort to point them out to her in my bag! Hahaha!
Such a great answer guys. Yall are so funny. Good luck with the stitching...
Thanks so much!
Great catch up video. Always a pleasure! I am so glad Gary is persevering on Louis Armstrong. I am old enough to remember seeing him on the Ed Sullivan Show. I’m rooting you on! Great progress for both of you!! I don’t know how you do it!!
Take care.
Thanks, Connie! Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks!
gosh, you've had a busy year! Good to see you two. Always great to see what you've been up to xx
Thank you!! 😊
Safe travels!
Hi! Happy to see you guys again! Omg love you guys! Oh too funny❤😂and yea the stitching too!! Always enjoy the visit and the stitching! Safe travels and see you next time! OMG now that was funny!😂
Thank you both for such an entertaining Flosstube. Gary, I'm excited to see your progress on Louis Armstrong. When I was a kid I loved to watch him. Such talent! Your sense of humor is so fun!! I enjoyed seeing some of your action figures. Amy, as always your stitching is gorgeous. I laughed out loud when you made the comment about the fawn...venison. Thanks for showing the beautiful baskets from Rwanda. Happy stitching!!!
Oh boy, I can relate to the airport story! The baskets you brought home are beautiful. Super video as always. Take care!
Thanks so much!
OMG you guys are too funny. I was on the floor 😂😂😂😂 Gary is to funny. Happy couple so nice to watch your videos.
Really loved the apricot/mint bowl!
Another wonderful video. Well done Gary on Louis - you made great progress. Amy your stitching is fabulous, as always. Love you Rwandan baskets - we have similar things here but not to the same standard. Whenever I travel from here I never have scissors with me because they are confiscated. I take nail clippers instead which are not great but they do the job. Women officials in Africa are always more pedantic! Safe travels and happy stitching. Oh, and keep dancing Amy 😂😂😂
Gary it’s great to hear about your experience with pattern keeper. I do not use it, but from what you’re saying, it might help me.
Rose Trellis is coming along nicely.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I guess considering your extensive travelling, you’ve been rather lucky going through security. But I’d be ticked-off too, especially a favourite needle.😂 Gary thank you for sharing a small snap shot off your collection, it’s is rather impressive.
A-ha! Should have watched this before commenting on the last Flosstube 😁 so yes, we can make arrangements to be in London on 8th December and we'll need to settle on somewhere soon so we can book an overnight stay on 7th.... Looking forward to it! 🥰
Gary you might consider buying a FINE POINT MARK-B-GONE pen. I got mine at Joanne’s. Draw a 10 by 10 squares on your fabric. Helps you see the square easier and fewer mistakes are made. Stitching goes faster as well. The blue marks are very quickly erased when you run water over the fabric.
Great idea!
Well, I've caught up watching all your past episodes and now current. You kids are so cute and funny with your interactions. And, of course Gary's editing is top notch.
Gary, on 'Louis Armstrong' you may want to get an air-, heat- or water-soluble pen to grid the fabric. Even doing a small section at a time would be beneficial. This would help with counting and decrease errors. Amy, a while back you mentioned about looking for things to help your dad continue his stitching. The 14-count Easy Count fabric may be easier for him to see and keep his place.
Thanks for your entertaining videos. Look forward to seeing you both and the fur babies again soon. Take care!
Great suggestions! Thank you!
Great stitching progress to you both. It's definitely getting busier around here too.
I'm based in South East London and it would be a pleasure to meet you Amy. Gary should visit Forbidden Planet near Covent Garden in london. There is also a store called The Noble Collection with merchandise from LOTR, GOT, Batman etc.
And Greenwich isn't too far by train or boat to see where some of the Thor movie was filmed.
Safe travels.
Nice progress, you two! And Alf! lol I remember Alf. I did think something political right away 😂 Love your seasonal project. Very pretty. You guys make me laugh! Every time! At least you don't dance like Elaine from the Seinfeld episode. The baskets are beautiful. That's funny, but not, because I retired from 15 years with TSA. Wish I could be in London! It's on my bucket list. Thanks for another fun flosstube!
The display of action figures is pretty cool!
You are both hilarious. Just how many action figures do you have Gary? Looks like that book case could topple over at any moment. 😂 Happy to see all your stitching progress.
Gary answered your question in our new video! :)
Wow, I would love to me meet you , I’m not far from from London I’ll definitely travel there for a cross stitch meeting. Thank you for sharing your projects, they’re awesome, blessings ❤️
Hooray! We would love to include you! Morti and I are going to get a group thread going on Instagram for everyone who is interested in joining. Would you mind sending me a message request to @globetrotting_stitcher so I have your handle and can include you in the group? Seems like the most efficient way to coordinate logistics for those who want to come! Looking forward to it!
Hello again- Amy I can sympathize with you regarding the house being taken over by collectibles. Kim builds and collects Legos. They were spread across the entire house at one point. I finally relegated them to her room and a bookshelf in the living area.
It's a comfort to know I'm not the only one. Hahaha! I feel a little guilty sometimes that our home decor is largely driven by what I like, but a cluttery space (even when it's fun clutter) just gives me anxiety! Gary has been a very generous partner to humor me on this.
lol! I always enjoy you two….beautiful stitching for sure! Anxious to see old Louie come alive again! That’s illegal to take your needle, giggle. Did you have an extra needle hidden somewhere?
Thankfully, I had several. I have no idea why those weren't confiscated, but thank goodness they weren't!
@@globetrottingstitcher we never know what people are thinking. Maybe she had a bad day. lol good you had extras
Hi Amy - Hi Gary
I had a cousin by the name of Gary on my Dad’s side - we all loved him. He passed away several years ago. I miss him and his Mom - My Aunt and his Dad - My Uncle.
Amy - I love all of your WIPS - Especially Trellis Inn. This is so pretty. I love this. Your other WIPS is very pretty too.
Gary - I love love Wonder Woman - she is looking so beautiful. I am glad that you found the mistake and corrected the mistake.
Love Louie Armstrong - Making Great Progress on him. Glad that you found the mistake Gary. You are right - just do a 10,x 10 block at a time. That is the way I do my Full Coverages.
Amy - Sorry that they took your Needle and Scissors - you are right - you do not want to argue with them.
Hi from Newfoundland. Great progress on your WIPs. Your baskets are beautiful. I've never had anything taken, though I understand the scissors, but what the heck are you going to do with a blunt needle.
Couldn't agree more about the needle! I was gobsmacked!
Hi Amy Thanks for the video and sharing your trip to Rwanda. I am going to be visiting Rwanda at the end of the month to do a gorilla trek and then on to Kenya for a safari in Amboseli. I love those baskets you got and was wondering if you had the address of the store as will have an afternoon in Kigali for sightseeing. I will need to be careful that I don’t take any needles or scissors in my hand luggage 😂 Although I have never had any taken off me in any of my travels to Africa. Safe travels.
Oh my goodness! How fun! I really hope that I'll get to do a gorilla trek one of these days, but I haven't gotten to it yet. You are going to have a fabulous time!!!
The shop I visited also has a studio, and they're within walking distance of the Kigali Convention Center at Ubumwe House on #1 KG 5 Avenue. Here's their website: www.azizilife.com/visit-rwanda/studio/
Separately, if this is your first trip to Rwanda, I highly recommend taking a couple hours to visit the genocide memorial and museum in Kigali. It's really emotional and hard to visit, but such an important part of Rwanda's story and a really powerful experience. I went nearly 10 years ago, and the experience has never left me.
Would love it if you share an update on how your trip goes! I'm going to be in Kenya the first couple weeks of Nov. Any chance that coincides with your dates?
Thanks Amy for the info and your suggestions. This will be our first Rwanda visit so we will definitely visit the museum. We fly into Kenya 29 Oct and have a free day 30 Oct then we leave for Rwanda and back in Kenya 5 Nov. We go to Amboseli until 8 November. We will have the day free in Nairobi 8 Nov and fly out late evening. It would be lovely to meet if that coincides with one of your dates.
Those baskets are amazing and beautiful. Is it possible that the store has a website?
I'm glad you liked them! Not only do they have a website, they have a US-based fulfillment center you can order from. :)

I’m thinking maybe your inspector wanted some cross stitch supplies. I’m sorry you no longer have your favorite cross stitch needle.
She could have asked nicely! Hahahaha!
What were the names of the two pieces you did for Gary’s birthday? I think you said Nora Corbet, but I can’t fine them!
They are Floral Dream and Moon Glow.
🎃🦇🧵🪡🦇🎃
Could you please make a video on your hoops?
Thanks for the feedback, Lisa. Could you tell me a little more about what you are looking for? Are you interested in how I work with Q-snaps/hoops in my Lowery stand or were you wanting to know about something else? I'm happy to cover this but want to make sure we're showing you what you're most interested in. Thanks!
