1)Jiraiya remembers his dialogue with Orochimaru and that the greatest shinobi's quality is courage to never give up and his heart starts to beat again.
2)Nagato remembers that he insipred Jiraiya to write a book and was a prototype of a main hero who had courage to never give up. And the name of that hero was Naruto,so he insiped Naruto's ninja way through this book and Minato to give Naruto his name. He regains his faith in humanity and sacrifices his life for the sake of Konoha's citizens.
3)Sasuke remembers that Naruto had been always alone,until the moment he decided to never give up and made a lot of bonds with other people,including his brother Itachi. And no matter what he will never turn his back on him - his best friend. Sasuke accepts his loss and returns to Konoha.

This OST also plays when Naruto was about to faint and Kakashi catches him and thanks him for saving Konoha. Then when they get back the whole village welcomes him and considers him a hero. This is what Itachi meant as to "You don't become Hokage to be accepted, but if you're accepted by others, you can become Hokage".

This may seem really cliche, but here it goes.
Naruto means so much to me and has shaped the person I am today! I've bee through some really difficult things but remembering Naruto makes me remember to be strong and never give up. I'm now recovering from open heart surgery after discovering I have a heart disease. But I made it through the tough journey remembering my dreams for the future and I will never give up! I've battled anxiety and depression, close family loss and heart surgery, but that will never stop me.

Every single note of this song makes me feel something different. His courage, his sorrow, everything he did can be felt. He didn't hesitate. He knew what he did was right, that it was for the sake of what he trusted, what he believed in. He cried, he suffered, he was hated, considered as a traitor but he did what he had to. And this is something I want to be, one day, capable of.
I am only a little french girl of 14 that doesn't even really know what life is. Itachi is only one character of my favorite manga. He isn't even real, they aren't even real. But I feel like they tought me important things. Be it Jiraiya, Nagato, Itachi, or even Neji, they all died while fighting and they didn't regret anything they've done in their life. My friends, my parents all think that I am losing my time watching stupid cartoons but these ''stupid cartoons'' are making me feel alive. This whole manga changed me, and made me think I wanted to become strong. Strong enough to never give up, strong enough to never abandon friend, strong enough to follow my dreams.

Itachi is by far the most WORTHY character in the whole Naruto series to become Hokage. The shit he's been through for the sake of the Leaf Village and for the sake of not starting a new premature war...killing his own blood to prevent a new war. Sparing his little brother and accepting all that hate instead... Being put down and made a villain. Playing the double-agent role and still being faithful to the Leaf while being in the Akatsuki... Itachi Uchiha is by far the most worthy character for the Hokage title. And maybe, in other circumstances, he would've been. Also, he is one HELL OF A STRONG NINJA.
On Top of that Itachi😍did most of this while being seriously ill and slowly but surely going blind😢 PS: If it were up to me, he would've lived and made Rokudaime ( and not Bakashi)

Yes, Itachi might have not been a true hero, he never claimed to be to be one in the first place, "I will always be Uchiha Itachi of the Hidden Leaf" he sacrificed his clan for the greater good and by doing that preventing a great ninja war. Your comments suggest that he has no regret for what he has done, which is wrong, he gave up his humanity and wanted to be judged by another Uchiha (Sasuke). But people seem to think that's the only reason he kept Sasuke alive for that sole reason which is wrong, he loved his brother and tried to shield him from the truth but even in the end Itachi regretted that.

Well it did happen. It wasn't exactly a 'condition' more of a promise. Before killing his mother and father they expressed how proud they were of Itach and that their pain will end in an instant but Itachi will have to carry this burden for the rest of his life. It showed us this scene in the Kabuto VS Sasuke and Itach fight and the ANBU filler.

Itachi always said sasuke your hate is weak. In the end when his dying He says sasuke you are become stronger 🥺
Killed his family, yet saved his brother, the last thing he did was die with a smile on his face and gave his brother a power to protect him from the darkness. Unfortunately it didn't work, Sasuke let it in to find the truth even further, spiraling him even further down a bad path. Later during the war, Sasuke was reunited with his brother and thanks to simply talking to him, Sasuke started to swim back up. Though he was still trapped in the darkness, thanks to his best friend, Naruto, he was able to fully come back to the surface. Sasuke is no longer... Drowning In Footwear.
You can say everything you want about naruto but this anime has something extroardinary in emotional tracks, that other animes dont have. All the tracks say something of our lives thats probably why some of us identify our selfs so much with them, a death of a parent of a friend, something sad that pops up in our minds.

Because it reminds the old their time is past, it asks the parents today, "have you do enough?" To the young a subconcious reminder their time will come and in its fullness pass unto their kids and grandkids.
People who hate this music cannot understand that time is an illusion, alibet a necessity and we all have our part to play and when ours swords, rusted, chipped, and shattered when held by our loved ones is reforged anew.

Probably the saddest song in Naruto..I remember first hearing it and then seeing Itachi's face and going, "..oh no.." I think they also played it for Asuma and Jiraiya.

Odd comparison I know but, like Severus Snape from Harry Potter, Itachi made himself the villain at the request of others, only to be revealed as one of the 'purest' good characters. :P
Sure he murdered his clan but had he not done so, there would have been much more death. Even left his little brother alive so that he could one day receive punishment from the very same clan he butchered, and the very same family he destroyed. Loyal till the end.

Itachi :'( this song just goes with the pic so perfectly. Itachi was one of the best written characters of any story in any genre. At first he was just an evil man who killed for killing and an obstacle for sasuke. Then it was shown that he did it all to protect his little brother the whole time :'( . He was protecting sasuke during the 9 tails attack when he was a baby and he protected him to death and even after left safeguards for him. He is truly amazing and a true shinobi of the leaf.
The village does have its dark side and its inconsistencies, but I'm still Konoha's Itachi Uchiha

It would be so easy to just throw everything away and yet I come here. I started watching naruto when I was 11yo, i'm 24 now. I grew up with this show and I feel like giving up would go against all I learned when I was a teen. University, work, hobbies, money, obligations, exams... sometimes it all gets too fricking hard and I'm really trying but it's just hard. I will try my best and come back here everyday. Yeah. It was, considering that he is a hero in a manga about shinobi that cannot exist in real life. Everyone in this manga has killed, even Naruto. Itachi only did it when he had no other choice due to his clan dying either way and spared Konoha from war. He had the guts to go through being hated alone and shouldered everything himself. No other character did that. All of them have had support from one another. That's why he's a hero & even stated as much by Kishimoto.
Itachi's sacrifices due to his responsibilities makes him a hero.

I can say without any shred of doubt: the stuff Naruto and Sasuke went through put together, wasn't even worth a drop in the ocean compared to what Itachi went through. Where Naruto sought love through protection and Sasuke sought vengeance through power, Itachi chose hate and dishonour through love and honour. You can't even compare anyone in the series to Itachi; some come close, like Jiraiya, Minato or Nagato, but Itachi will always be the best character in Naruto, bar none.

Why the hell does no one mention Kakashi, I honestly think he went through the worst. He failed to save his best friend/rival, he KILLED a friend who actually loved him and his father killed himself because of shame. On top of that he has to watch his team fall apart. People are so wrapped up in how Sasuke or Naruto feels when they're missing the fact tha Kakashi must be hurting too.
