Man, if there ever was a 'look at me' car in '59 this was it. Maximum flash and that awesome Mopar power...what more could you have wanted back then? Or NOW, for that matter! LoL
Sure new cars generally handle well, are safer and more economical, but this is a product of the Golden Era when cars were unique, exciting and built with dignity with plenty of steel and lots of chrome. That driving experience of glitz and thrill will never be recaptured in modern cars.
I was the son that helped restore this......spent many hours and years putting this thing together. My dad passed shortly after selling it. It would be nice to try and buy it back some day
@GeekUltra that's what I thought at first, but then I saw he did a good job implementing it into the dash the way that it is invisible when off, so basically, no damage done to the interior styling when on display... and if the guy drives it on a daily basis as he said, you kinda need SOME pieces of modern equipment to make this kind of interior comfortable... it's beautiful to look at, but if you drove it daily, you'd miss a modern radio and stuff...
