I watched this again because I will be making some for my kids. You are very good at explaining the process. I think I will use terry cloth for the pocket which looks to be about 36" x 18". You said half a yard but I think 45," which is what a lot of yardage measures, would be too big. 36" x 18" would make a bag approximately 17" square. I love your video by the way.

What is the measurement of the bag part? That's like a beach bag quillo! I love it.

How long do you think that handle should be?

I have found a couple of design flaws in this bag. . The main problem is the kids don't really like the feel of another fabric that isn't terry cloth for the pocket. When you turn the towel outward to use as a towel, that part of the pocket should also be terry cloth. I took a little survey among several children and mothers. I made one with plain cotton and one with a terry cloth for one side of the pocket. The terry cloth pocket one was the winner. Another thing is that the zipper should be at least 9 inches long for beach or pool things to go in or come out comfortably. You can buy a thinner terry cloth fabric and use that for the pocket. Believe me, that is a better option. Cool design though.
