What's weird is that 6 years ago way before this vaporwave/nightcore/future funk stuff was a thing, I visited Japan and one night actually walked around Tokyo admiring all of the futuristic architecture with the original version of song playing (Clio-Faces). There is truly something about the essence of Japanese cities that actually makes me want to bust out glossy 80s synth pop and 90s euro dance.
This is gotta be my fav track. I dunno why, but i feel the remixes that AIT does are always superior than the original songs. In some cases, for example, it gives them a "funky" vibe that the original maybe had, but not as prominent as in the remix. It feels fucking amazing to jam along with a bass on these songs.
I love both versions equally! And I say this after carrying around with the same ripped mp3 of this song along several phones I bought for the past 10 years
