Once upon a time, a STORY was whispered among shadows.
It was a STORY of HOPE.
It was a STORY of WISHES.
It was a STORY of STARS.
It was a STORY of NIGHT.
This is the legend of KIRBY RUNE.
For millenia, the STARS and the DREAMS have lived in balance,
Bringing peace to DREAMLAND.
But if this harmony were to shatter...
a terrible calamity would occur.
The sky will run black with terror
And the land will crack with fear.
Then, it's heart pounding...
The PLANET will draw its final breath.
Only then, shining with hope...
Three HEROES appear at PLANET'S edge.
A WARRIOR from the STARS,
A NOBLE for MACHINES,
And the BETTER HALF of a MONSTER.
Only they can seal the fountains
And banish the ANGEL'S HEAVEN.
Only then will balance be restored,
And the PLANET saved from destruction.
Today, the FOUNTAIN OF DREAMS-
The geyser that gives this land form-
Stands tall at the center of the kingdom.
But recently, another fountain has appeared on the horizon...
And with it, the balance of STARS and DREAMS begins to shift.
