As the 50th liker on this video I say Todd hits when he hits and he flops when he flops but I do believe he knows what he's doing it seem he brings out his best every 4th quarter correct me if I'm wrong.
@@Toygains with all th shyt we dealing with over here I just saw this but Yes I love the Super7 MMPR line and if not posing much and mainly just for collecting and placing on a shelf they can be very good
Lovin’ the positive vibes in this video! I LOVE collecting and it’s always nice to see enthusiast produce a fair and balanced video. I’m diggin’ all of the figures you reviewed here!
Damian is my favorite Robin, the Tomasi run on Batman and Robin was some of the absolute best Batman and Robin stories ever told, the dynamic between father and son in that run is great. The Batman and Robin run during Batman Reborn by Morrison with Dick as Batman was great as well and the Batman Inc story was spectacular. I don't get the hate.
I understand perfectly that reuse is VERY essential in the business of toy manufacturing but geez he needs to give some more thought. (It’s not always being lazy. It’s being practical. Keeps margins healthy especially with rising manufacturing costs and importation costs related to China.) Question looks great. Huntress is far from perfect but since I got the non new 52 Platinum version, I like it. I also like Effigy. Shining Knight was female in the rebooted Grant Morrison seven soldiers in the mid 2000s. Forgettable character. But maybe Green Lantern Boodika or even a Female Fury would have been more interesting. Heck replace the arms and the buck would be a close approximation of Amethyst. Figure looks good though.
only reason Todd made Shining Knight a chick is so it could reuse that dumb Frost King WW that is still sitting on clearance. and nobody was asking for a halfassed New 52 Huntress.
Faceplate is a smart way from McFarlane, eventhough many Japanese toyline did it waaayyy long. I hope he could also study another Japanese toyline such as Figuarts, to "copy" their way of making :D
I feel like the spread of quality is getting wider due to how many releases he is pumping out. His best stuff is tremendous, and on the other end are some truly lazy and uninspired offerings. My greatest wish is for him to slow down a bit but I don’t see that happening any time soon!
Far and above mcfartlane is getting better than the standard marvel legends hascrap, crap buck. Cloth, wired atuff, usually reused bodies that are mostly better than the Vulcan body, even if hascrap has standout greats like the MCU spider man no way home, and the newest daredevil.👍♥️
Anyone looking to see The Question in something should check out Justice League Unlimted. He’s voiced by The Re-Animator, Jeffery Combs and factors into the second season pretty heavily and works with Huntress.
Holy shit.. When you took that faceplate.. 😅 I'd be tempted to paint a metallic face under there to make her a robot. Flame head looks like the joker caught his hair on fire. I'm a Damian supporter. I like the arrogant little killer. Nice video man! I enjoyed it!
If you could combine the original sculpts and attention to detail of the first few years of DC Multiverse with the character selection of the last few years, I’d have a boatload of these figures. As it stands, most of the great figures in this line are characters I’m not interested in, and most of the figures of the characters I’m interested in aren’t great. Damien Wayne does look fantastic, though. I’ll give you that.
Honestly, yes, they are. They are kicking the crap out of hasbro rn which tbf just about every major company is. As a very disgruntled ex legends collector, I'm much happier with what mcfarlane is offering for the price. I can even justify some of their $30 collectors edition figures such as the DK2 batman.
@@Carrion-0409 I'd Say Classified is trying. Legends had a good year do to classic characters. But I'm just more excited about DC Multiverse because they try something different.
@Toygains that's the issue, though. Those classic characters don't appeal to most younger people like me. People in my age group, which is their early 20s, want mcu stuff. Sadly the mcu stuff hasbro has made in recent years has had abysmal qc. I got a stealth suit captain america with paint issues and a loose knee. That figure was also damn near 30 bucks. I can't justify the line when 99% of what I buy has qc issues.
Effigy might make a great Creeper custom. I canceled the Robin figure, as I already have a couple Damian figures and I am sort of out of display space.
I like that McFarlane continues to experiment. Cloth goods, multiple heads and hands etc. However, a lot of the reuse has been coming in the way of the less interesting "blank buck" where everything is painted on. Ragman really bothers me this way. All in all it's a fun line to collect. I think I prefer some of the earlier figures for the crazy sculpt work, but they all tend to have ugly ball joints.
Hi TG. Nice group review. I'm not much into McFarlane Dc (got a couple here and there) but I like watching some of them, like the question, he looks good. And the gold armored lady, I like the vest detail, good texture. Huntress is Mafex? Looks good too, even I preffer alternate heads instead of faces (Bandai does that too) There are characters I don't even know who they are, sorry.
