It's amazing the trust Mia has when you hold her in your hand, she looks so content. I haven't purchased a bird yet but doing as much research as possible, watching TH-cam vids. reading books, etc! I am only away now two days a week for 8 hrs a day and the rest of the week I work from home, so I feel like I'm at a time in my life where I can devote more time. We also have a bird rescue very close to where I live & I'm planning on volunteering time for at least a year, to learn more, but I also think it will be fun to spend time with so many beautiful birds. Thanks for the videos, incredibly realistic and informative!
@@lynnrn8252 that’s amazing! I love reading comments like this❤️ you are doing all the right things before making a big and long commitment! Birds are so special and amazing 🤩 but their care is quite complex. It sounds like you’ve been doing your research and I’m sure some birdy will be very lucky to be in your care one day💛 The Parrot Podcast is also a great resource☺️
Nothing makes my day better than seeing the free gree conures that fly past my house every morning. A few even stop and perch on the telephone lines at my house and cherp to me before they fly off. HAPPINESS IS BEING FREE!
I’m really happy to come across your channel! I have 2 poodle sisters (minis) and I just got a green cheek conure this week! Have learned a lot of helpful tips so far from you and look forward to learning more!❤
I have 2 green cheeks. Quetzal smells like buttered popcorn and Gryphon smells like french fries. I also have 8 budgies and they all smell like cucumbers and baby powder.
Hii Actually I do have a dog A sunconure but ( a pair ( wild not tamed) for breeding purpose) Then I do have a green chick conure (Hedwig) who smells amazing. It mimics sometime even. Love your videos.
Conures poop/pee approximately every 20 minutes, and they do it everywhere that’s part of being a parront! th-cam.com/users/shortsUZkud9kHzMQ?feature=share you can train them to have certain go to spots but as always training requires dedication, consistency and positive reinforcement
If your bird is supervised it should enjoy out of the cage quality time but when your bird cannot be supervised you should have a large cage for it with a safe and enriching environment
If I work 3 12 hour shifts, but at home the rest of the week, is it fair to get two green cheeks in a large flight cage? I would keep them out literally the other four days. Thanks for your input.
I go into that a bit in this episode th-cam.com/video/Vk0gDBnvEWE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zgvxeT7W15ttfhN7 but I think you can make it work if they are enriched and find a routine that works, I would also suggest a pet cam or if there is someone else at home that can hang out with them or at least check in on them on those days. I think the most important thing is they are in a good home, have the space, care and you do all your research 😊💕
You can 100% have a green cheek conure and work 8-10hours a day. As long as you give let it out the cage and give it the proper attention right when you get off. Now macaws and cockatoos are a different story.
I don’t think the species of bird makes it any different, all birds deserve mental stimulation and proper time and attention. Gcc deserve just as much as a macaw or cockatoo

I have a question. Can I keep gcc in my bedroom?
If your bird is supervised it should enjoy out of the cage quality time but when your bird cannot be supervised you should have a large cage for it with a safe and enriching environment
I just have one question is the cocktail harness suitable for a conure?
I’m not sure! Aviator harness has a size chart on their website 😀
I had tiels and now have gccs. You was to go 1 size down. A petite is a little big

hey! do some more research on getting two gcc! they’re more likely to bond with eachother than with you, so keep that in mind.
❤❤❤
