A man who has been running a stall for 39 years.
The owner has updated the ramen soup.
Regular customers praise it as delicious.
We also filmed interviews with regular customers.

I cried so much when i saw him struggling to walk and all by himself trying to fix his shop and i always wanna know how he's been and if his health improved or not, i am from India and i wish to visit him one day, not for the food, or the place, i just want to give him a hug and treat him to some puddings coz that is his favourite food
When he was in the hospital, he kept thinking that he wanted to come back soon. Now he is enjoying his work as much as before.
He is supported by his kind and friendly patrons.

少し控えめの豚骨が店主のこだわりだそうです♪
speaking of foreigners, my friend and i , both from canada and u.s.a is planning to go to oita just to visit uncle. literally. just to see him and have his ramen. not even tokyo. just uncle :). we feel that kind of attachment to the kind of person he is. we dont really know how to speak japanese so we're going to have to rely on our phones to do our talkings. but we'll make it work. hopefully we, along with my son, can visit uncle some time this year or soon after. God bless him with strength and health.
The owner had foot surgery at the end of last year. A regular customer said he was scheduled to undergo another surgery and would be closed for a while. When the store reopens, I highly recommend you to give it a try.
Currently, I don't know when the shop owner will return >_

閉店0時くらいにして睡眠時間を確保してほしいけど夜中もお客さん来るのかな？
日によってばらばらだそうですが、土曜日は飲み会の後の〆に深夜も多いとお聞きしました。タクシーに乗って来られる地元の方もいらっしゃるそうです^^
定休日は不定休の為、土曜日でも閉まっていることはあります♪
For a bowl of ramen with three slices of beef, spicy beef broth, udon, a whole soft cooked egg (halved), a few leaves of pak choi, sesame seeds and shii take, I pay €14 in Germany, which is 2260 yen.
I wish him all the best he can get. Live long and have fun.
He wants as many people as possible to try his ramen, so he tries to keep the price to a minimum.
I noticed he's also proud of having fed a number professional baseball players. His stall is a community pillar for a lot of young athletes I imagine.

I think it'd be really neat if you sat down and showed him other street vendors like him that are young and get his opinion!!
Wow what a great price, I spend 14$ here in USA for a bowl of ramen. Next time I travel to Japan I’m going to visit his stall.
Japan has a custom of providing delicious and cheap food. Although prices have become higher and it has become more difficult in some cases, there are still many stores that cherish the traditional atmosphere. ^^
膝の可動域が広がってるし歩行速度も上がってるね。おそらく痛みは減ってるか消失してると思う。
手術が無事に終わったそうで足の調子も良く、これだけ寒くなければもう少し早く復帰したかったと仰られていました。
無事に再開出来たようですね

少し辺鄙な場所に関わらず、地元の方にあれだけ親しまれている店主さんの屋台は率直にすごいと思いました♪

I wonder how he’s doing now? I’m going to Japan in September from US and I want to visit his stand. I just hope some of the customers can speak English and help me translate.
There are many foreign customers, and they all use gestures to make purchases. It's okay because the owner is a cheerful person.

返信ありがとうございます。おいちゃん足の手術されて以前より歩くのが良くなった様な感じなのでよかったです。東北には屋台ラーメン無いので羨ましいです。
昨年末に手術をした後調子が良さそうでしたが、最近でも手術をまだ繰り返しているそうで常連客の方がすごく心配されていました。
遠い場所にもお客様がいるのは、さすが店主さんの人柄ですね^^

咳は数年定期的に出ていると仰られていましたので、最近急に咳をしている訳ではないそうでした(＞＜)

The plastic isn't melted, that's it's pattern

店は、不定休で営業されています。店主さんの気まぐれで営業している屋台ですので、常連客の方でさへ前を通ってみないとわからないそうです(＞＜)
雨の日は店は閉まっています。屋台の営業日は、わかりやすくする為に道路沿いに必ず提灯を光らせるようにされています。
