I prayed for clarity on a couple of personal issues. God gave me that clarity listening to this video. This was a marvelous discussion. Thank you each and every one.

The last three minutes is the best segment of the whole conversation as Dr. Sproul, in true form, reiterates the importance of giving due severance to a holy God; the common theme around which he has built the entirety of his theology and his ministry.

“These people are not Americans - they are citizens of the Commonwealth of Heaven. They’re okay. Leave them alone.”
What a revelation that in this horribly divided election year of 2024, that brothers and sisters in Christ from down South may be seeding the beginning of a (Fourth?) turning in our country. The death of secular humanism is already a fait accompli. That’s a great and powerful thought!

Did RC Jr just say that the Gospel is. It just how to be reconciled to God but also that His Kingdom has come? What Bible verses is he getting this from?

Wherever Jesus is, the Kingdom of heaven is present. That's why John the Baptist said the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand às Jesus arrived.
However, Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world. Therefore, our hope is that the earthly kingdom and the heavenly kingdom be merged into one eternal and glorified kingdom. That is what we are praying for. That the heavenly kingdom will come and merge with the earthly kingdom of the church.

I wonder what God's perspective is when he listens to these men talking about him. I'm sure he stands there and says "That's cute." loljk

This is what God desires from his people, That they focus on him and worship him and speak of him and declare him. I think he's a little more delighted than just That's cute but that's cute that you thought so.

Sproul Jnr. mentioned a generation as 40 years?? i thought it was 20 so the maths would change. see.. The average age of mothers at the birth of their first child was 20 years and at the last birth 31, giving a mean of 25.5 years per female generation-considerably above the 20 years often attributed to primitive cultures.

Typically in Hebrew culture, a generation was 40 years. Sproul jr. was accurate in that. It may be different in other cultures but as far as Jewish society goes, insofar at least as the Jews of the first century and prior are concerned, a generation was considered 40 years

It is roughly 40 years and matters a great deal when interpreting Matthew 24.
