Funniest thing about this was watching you break so many laws on driving in Europe, for future reference if there is a pedestrian waiting to cross the street at the white lines going across the road, then they have right of way and you have to stop to let them cross
U have to do that in us too lol
@@YaraneI think that’s state dependent. Where I live, you only have to stop if they’re already crossing (obviously), or if they have the green pedestrian light. Otherwise, it’s up to the discretion of the driver (most won’t bother.)

Hi Trev. Probably one of the biggest differences in Europe is, that we do not have 'right on red' turns (or at least not everywhere). If it the traffic light is red you cannot turn right regardless.

The way the car rolls back, once you push your brake, you can hold the brake until you start going. It won’t go in reverse unless you let off the brakes and push the brakes again.

In the UK we have green, Amber and red lights, so the lights will go from green to Amber, that means get ready it's going to turn red, then it'll go red and Amber together that says get ready to pull off and then green. Easy to figure it out really, but becareful on the Amber to red you don't go through the red light that can get you in trouble.

it's a good idea to use your ( i think you call them hazards in USA) emergency lights / blinker , when stop to pick up client , that way you notify everybody on the road for your intentions and this will save you from a hit from behind ;)
This seems like a cool simulator from what I've seen so far. If you were to consider making this a series, I'd say a yes!

The reason why it goes yellow then green is bc most cars are manuals so it allows you to put the car back in the first gear and then you can accelerate on green

Fact of the traffic light: The traffic light goes first to orange because it was made that drivers could put it in first gear.
@26:15 that yellow-white rhomboidal signal is not a stop signal, it means you are on a road which has the right of way against the roads merging with it.

we go on yellow then it's already red on the other side, the yellow light means caution like looking left and right. and when the yellow are before red it means to slow down before a stop

I use to try and drive like this (sensibly) in Midtown madness 1 and 2. Since I didn't have access to too many games at that time. This looks like so much fun. I'm going to get this game when it comes out. Thanks for the video.

Speed bumps are generally there to make sure you don't go too fast. If you have to slam on your brakes and go half the speed you were doing just to get over a bump, you're driving way too fast. Even with missing a speed limit sign, you should be able to notice that.. ;)

this game is perfect practice for a driving school student. Correct traffic rules, lots of correct traffic signs and a big city.

I dunno about constantly using the ebrake to stay stopped, maybe you just have to hold the brake button while you're stopped just like irl? Just a thought. I know on the wheel it'll likely work that way anyway but just a thought
Can confirm to my question below that the game works perfectly with steering wheel, tried it today. So good that this is going to be the best driving game ever (beside of Truck and euro sim).

The yellow (we say orange) light before the green or red is also a thing here in the UK. On pedestrian crossings, the orange is usually solid with the red (in case someone is still crossing), which you cannot go through. If it is not a pedestrian crossing the orange usually flashes alone, you can go through that. Then if it is orange after a green its usually solid alone which you can go through.
Yellow before red and green is a British thing, too. Hong Kong also abopted it before Handover as it was British colony.

To explain the yellow light for someone not European I'd say, think of it as a "Ready, set, go", same when it is going to red, "Go, Slow down, Stop" (even though a lot of drivers gun for the yellow to make it before it turns red).

In Romania the lights go from green, flashing green some of them to let you know it gonna be yellow to yellow, you start braking because it only last like 2-3 seconds and then red and the from red it goes straight to green again
Keep the car in drive when you are stopped. Switching to neutral makes you roll.

15:18 you need to hold the break, or put the handbreak on, otherwise it’ll roll back because the clutch isn’t engaged correctly.
(Automatic drive just hold the break pedal)
