My best strategy for a raid would be to put wood fence around your entire village before starting the raid. It takes some effort to do, but once you've got the village completely outlined in fences, the raid can't actually enter the village, so you can use a bow and be (mostly).safe. you will have to jump out occasionally to pick off some of the raid mobs.
Best to set up a defensive fighting position outside the fence. The pillagers can't get in, but the Vex's can. Not sure if they attack villagers though.
@@Smitty-hr2mg pretty sure they can, i have had raids where i know for a fact the villagers were safe in their houses yet some seem to have died still. Only explanation i can think of is vexes
There's actually a third way of getting resistance that you didn't mention: enchanted golden apples. It give you resistance V which means you're immune to all relevant types of damage. It's why the item is so good
I absolutely love Minecraft's title screen music and background music, it's so calming and relaxing, and I really appreciate it that you put it in the background of your videos! Also, quite fun observation regarding horse breeding. I had two horses - one black and one gray with black spots, both had the best stats I could find in the area. I was trying to breed them to get a black-with-black-spots horse that would share the stats of its parents. However, for some weird reason all I could get was brown ones. Finally, after so many failed breedings, they made a baby that I needed. When it grew up, I tamed it and tested its stats. It was pretty fast, jumped rather high and had a decent amount of health (but still 2 or 3 hearts less than one of its parents). However, right when I was comparing their health, the parent horse somehow managed to get stuck in the wall and suffocated. I desperately tried to rescue it, to no avail. So basically just as it made the right baby horse, and that baby horse grew up (matured, became worthy), the parent said "my time has come" and sacrificed itself, so that its child could take its place.
You can throw potions of swiftness and jump boost onto your horses before breeding and their offspring will have speed and jump height of their parents when the effect was on them. Then get 2 horses bugged this way throw again those potions on them and breed them to get super fast super jumping horse. Dont know how many times this is repeatable but the horse can get so fast you cant even see whats going on anymore

Thanks for the content my dude. Speaking of questions could you possibly do a video that covers maps and how the world works? I noticed when using locator maps I sometimes start on different parts of it. When the maps new. How big exactly is the world and how do you go about locating and mapping out different biomes? Your content is always on point. Just today, I was focused on a build and a creeper snuck up on me. I had no time to fly away, but remembered your video and placed a block right in front of it. Barely any damage! Thank you!
Deep Dark biomes tend to spawn at a 500-750 block circle radius around a ancient city depending on how big the city itself is. (In my experience) It is unlikely that Mooshroom islands will be within its radius unless you get lucky.
What's the best system to zombify (and cure) villagers when you have a trading hall on your base? I followed the villager breeder farm that you demonstrated in a previous video and it works perfectly! ❤️
Making outposts seem to work just fine for me while looking for somewhere to live. And once you get far enough into the game you can make a nether highway linking up all your outpost.
There actually is one single use for poisonous potatoes, but extremely minor. You can use it in redstone builds, mostly item sorters, where you can use the poisonous potato, along with any other item, as a filter for the hopper. That is the only use however, and any item can do that.
The reason to do raids is to get Hero of the Village status, which lets you trade at a discount at _all_ villages for its duration (which is something like 35 minutes real time). Get your Bad Omen level up to 5, and you get Hero of the Village V, which gives you the best discounts - 50% off of everything. That means things cost less, and you get the emerald for half the original items (e.g. if a farmer wants 4 pumpkins for an emerald, Hero of the Village V will turn that into 2 pumpkins for an emerald - the max number of trades before reset is the same). There's also a much, much better way to do raids than what you suggest. Step 1 is to create a dedicated raid village. You just need at least one villager, though it doesn't hurt to have a few. Make it an island surrounded by a moat. At the bottom of the moat, put magma blocks, and make sure they're active (i.e. full water sources all the way to the surface - use kelp to make that easy). The pillagers will walk into the moat to get to you and the villager(s), get sucked down, then burn to death. Just make sure you get at least one connecting hit during the raid, and you'll get Hero status after it's done. Put a ring of non-magma blocks on the outside, so you can climb out when you go in for the loot (crouch to safely traverse the magma blocks). It's worth noting that the higher your Bad Omen status is, the more difficult the raid enemies are. That includes Evokers, which can spawn Vexes, which will attack you through walls. The best bet is to let the Evoker get into the moat before he's within casting range, and let him get killed by the magma blocks. If you want the XP, shoot the pillagers periodically with a bow while they're toasting in the moat, as XP is released when a mob is hit within five seconds of its death by a player. When shooting laterally in the moat, aim down from the mob, as the arrows are pushed up by the bubbles (it takes some practice to figure it out - if you have Punch on the bow, you'll notice when you successfully score a hit). The first half of doing a raid, of course, is getting Bad Omen. The best way to do this is find a Pillager Outpost, and put a nether portal nearby. Then put a portal at your raid village. Leave the output chunk and return to refresh the pillager spawn (easiest with Elytra), to get the banner-bearing ones. Kill five of them, then go back through the portal and directly to your raid village from there. It helps, of course, to have your own trading village at home to take advantage of the status.
Thank you for answering about the poison potato. I didn't know if there was a use for it that I was missing. I knew that if anyone knew, it would be you.

Poisonous potatoes can actually restore hearts. If you only have poisonous potatoes to eat, have very low hunger, and 3 hearts or less, eating poisonous potatoes will be a net positive if you eat enough to completely restore hunger
I do raids frequently often on the SMP world I currently play in and you *have* to bring a bow with infinity and flame enchantments or a crossbow with piercing and multishot. If you have the elytra and are about to die, fly away from the raid site then eat on the air. And the best tip: *Shoot evokers from afar* since they won't summon the vexes and that magic they do when they see you! You need to have an enchanted bow/crossbow/trident for this though. PS: If you wanna go melee, just bring a fully enchanted sword. And block the doors with a block you can easily destroy (if you get what I mean lol) if you want the villagers to survive
The problem with pumpkin pie is that it gives pathetically low saturation. You’ll be eating them twice as often as golden carrots. Golden carrots are by far the best food since they can also be purchased from villagers and give a huge amount of saturation. Saturation is a pretty important feature.
In bedrock you can also get infinite potions by putting on potion in a cauldron and have a pointed dripstone with water above. Just make sure not to empty it completely so that it will fill up with the potion and not water
for the poisonous potato you can use it for that achievement called a furious cocktail i think, you can use it for the poison affect at the end since its only 5 seconds use it at the last bits of when you drink all the other potions.
@@Eyecraftmc the day I found your channel I said to my self I'll support you until my death, cuz you deserve it. If you saw I didn't like and comment your video u can be sure that my network is down or I'm dead. Keep up the great work ❤️👍
Cauldrons can also be used in the nether, because you can put water in them and it will need some miliseconds to dissapear, so you can get rid of fire before it disapears. Also, in bedrock you can dupe potions with dripstone, but only if it's 1.18 or earlier.
for lightning rods, my main house is a wizard tower with a warped nether roof and then some copper to insulate a lightning rod on top, decent way to fireproof considering nothing is flammable
I have a quick question regarding villager trading: I believe you said in one of your videos that when a villager is out-of-stock in one item that it'll take a few minutes for them to restock on that said item. Does that also apply for when you want to trade an item to a villager for emeralds and they no longer want to trade emeralds, for example you wanting to trade an armorer a lava bucket for an emerald?
I used chunkbase to find the seed im currently playing on. It's so so helpful, especially since I haven't played minecraft in a while and just wanted to find a world where I could explore all sorts of cool things, and not have to trek across the map to find it. I lucked out on my 3rd random seed and got one where I had a village, nether portal, and jungle temple right by spawn. Plus there are 2 more jungle temples, lush caves, multiple desert temples and mines in the badlands, and it's all pretty much connected by rivers or smallish oceans for super easy transport. It's been so much more fun exploring a world that I know has all that within reach.
I never knew cauldrons had THAT many uses at all. This channel is a gold mine for info.

love your channel eyecraft. I know because I have heard that there are a lot of advancements, but could you make a video about it? Or at least about the hardest ones
Great video as always! Your videos always teach me something new about Minecraft, which doesn't usually happen often.
I feel like pumpkin pies are overlooked, they can be obtain largely from villager and restores 8 hunger(4 on the bar)
The problem with pumpkin pie is that it gives pathetically low saturation. You’ll be eating them twice as often as golden carrots. Golden carrots are by far the best food since they can also be purchased from villagers and give a huge amount of saturation. Saturation is a pretty important feature.
This is the best Minecraft info channel there is man! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 thank you man!
In bedrock you can also get infinite potions by putting on potion in a cauldron and have a pointed dripstone with water above. Just make sure not to empty it completely so that it will fill up with the potion and not water
I feel chosen
for the poisonous potato you can use it for that achievement called a furious cocktail i think, you can use it for the poison affect at the end since its only 5 seconds use it at the last bits of when you drink all the other potions.
A Furious Cocktail and How Did We Get Here
That's some jackpot tips over here thanks bro
Glad you like them!
@@Eyecraftmc the day I found your channel I said to my self I'll support you until my death, cuz you deserve it. If you saw I didn't like and comment your video u can be sure that my network is down or I'm dead. Keep up the great work ❤️👍
The clear eyes man is now making Minecraft videos.. awesome
8:14 you can hold a key on the keyboard to spam click for you so can you use that to godbridge?
This helped alot btw love your voice
Cauldrons can also be used in the nether, because you can put water in them and it will need some miliseconds to dissapear, so you can get rid of fire before it disapears. Also, in bedrock you can dupe potions with dripstone, but only if it's 1.18 or earlier.
Really dig your videos man.
You can get a full stack of tipped arrows if you fill the caldron with 3 potions and click on it with 64 arrows at once.
that's only in bedrock edition
@@SirKratos_ That's true. Good catch. 😉
I usually use an iron bar between the wooden roof and the lightning rod and it does the trick without 3x3 blocks
Love this guy
I love your content keep it up
You are my fav Minecraft TH-cam at the moment
You have such a calming voice. You should think of reading thing like creepypasatas
U dont need to do raids u can easly do a raid farm
As always incredibly useful information!! I cannot stop watching all your videos! Thank you!!!
I never knew that golden carrots give you heart faster thanks for the tip again .. u honestly are the best bro
For creepers, you can also force them to detonate by right-clicking with a flint-and-steel on them. Do that and run away.
for lightning rods, my main house is a wizard tower with a warped nether roof and then some copper to insulate a lightning rod on top, decent way to fireproof considering nothing is flammable
10:40 that’s a very unique village house
It peaceful
🤣😏
How in the hell does this have 27 likes, this makes no sense.
im addicted to your videos
Another great video
10:41 very appropriate shape for a house. isn't it ?
I have a quick question regarding villager trading: I believe you said in one of your videos that when a villager is out-of-stock in one item that it'll take a few minutes for them to restock on that said item. Does that also apply for when you want to trade an item to a villager for emeralds and they no longer want to trade emeralds, for example you wanting to trade an armorer a lava bucket for an emerald?
I am new to this channel and the content that you are giving is amazing!hope you get 1M soon!
Good night..
Love from India!
Fill the cauldron with 3 of the same potion and you can dip a whole stack in. No dragons breath required
Poisonous Potato can be turned into Vlock Bodka*
_*:This was revealed to me in a dream._
I actually did learn something…you can dye the water…that’s wild
Great vids, would love if you got deeper into zombifications in a future video c:
He has actually! th-cam.com/video/w-aZNn25eVk/w-d-xo.html here’s the link 12:17 for the zombification process
Very useful.THX
Your welcome :D
