  • I am a dedicated coffee drinker, but I do enjoy a hot cup of tea in the evenings in camp before I climb into my sleeping bag for the night. Today on Kayak Cook I show two very simple to make tea recipes with a ginger theme. One will put a little spring in your step as a nice mid-paddle/ mid-hike drink, or even in the evening before tent time with some ginger/minty goodness. The second of the two ginger tea recipes is for grown-ups only. I tasty gingery rum toddy. A great campfire drink if there ever was one!
    Ginger Mint Tea Recipe

Combine the ginger, mint and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and pour through a metal mesh sieve into a mug.
