- I have been staring at this line every day for 3 years now! I cannot believe how hard this approach was! We were out there for 7 hours and 5 hours in my body started to fail me! I am so thankful we got out and the next time I will be more prepared!

The harder we exert, the more our body prioritizes oxygen delivery to the working muscles over systems such as the GI tract. At atypical levels of exertion, this can result in localized occurrences of hypoxia in the smooth tissue of the gut. I'll email you because you've had this happen too much for my comfort as a medical professional.
Uh yeah, typical heat exhaustion symptoms. Dudes out there doing it. It’s common when you take it to the next level. He got off the mountain before reaching heat stroke. Rest and relaxation for a day and he’ll be just fine. Don’t get your panties in a bunch.
Good decision to get off the mountain ASAP and to not be the last one in your crew. We always learn something for you and we are eager to hear how you recovered/were treated afterwards. Overheating, altitude, and possible stomach bugs are dangerous deep into the wild. Rest and hydrate longer than you think. Prayers from our crew.

OK, I had a call come in to me. I just listened to the last few comments of your symptoms you had. Yes. You had the typical signs & symptoms of metabolic/physiologic causes for your vomiting & pooping. The recovery from this is a little longer than you may realize. OK - emailed you.
