I like the format of your videos. Reading books with short chapters sounds great. Also, the English subtitles while speaking Swedish slowly and displaying the Swedish text is fantastic.

Detta är en bra ide och jag lärd nya ord. My first attempt at responding in Swedish. Jag var nervös eftersom det var min första gång. So far so good. I think reading aloud is good as it introduces new words and helps with understanding the sentence structures. I would like to see more of this along with your other content. So thumbs up from me. I'm a relatively recent newcomer to your channel, and it didn't take me long to fall in love with it. I admit I wasn't sure I liked the speed at first, maybe because I have the tendency of being much more on the faster end of the spectrum myself when it comes to speed of speech, but it soon grew on me, and for a language like Swedish I think it's actually a great idea so as to really get the hang of the pronunciation, what with its tonal patterns and that tricky "i" sound you come across so often, not the one in _himmel_ , but rather that in _bli_ , it's driving me nuts that I just can't seem to get it right!
I've pretty much just started learning Swedish, which is why I'm writing in English, but hopefully I'll feel confident enough as to try my hand at a full Swedish comment soon.
When it comes to Nordic languages, it was Icelandic I actually started with, but I've also always had something of a soft spot for Swedish, and I guess both "Under solen" and "Riget" had something to do with making my interest in that language grow; Ernst-Hugo Järegård's performance in the latter is pure gold. 😎
I think it would be fantastic if you read passages you particularly like from well- and even not-so-well-known works of literature from over the world from time to time.
Or if that's not possible, what with TH-cam probably whining about it because of copyright concerns and whatnot, why not have a go at reading fragments written by yourself? I would love to listen to you read those, as well. 🙂

Haha well I must admit I was curious to read a tabloid, since I haven’t Done it in such a long time. And it felt good to be able to have my videos as my excuse to endulge in a silly magazine 😅😉.

I will definitely read more and like you said, I could also read from books. From what I understand TH-cam will allow reading as long as it adds value (which I think slow Speaking and subtitles does? 🤔).

@@Learneasyswedish I imagine there may be some kind of limit on the amount that can be read, like no more than "x" % per book/chapter or something like that, but I think that would hardly be a problem, given you couldn't read that much per video, anyways, thanks to the slow pace at which you would do it. 😉
And I agree that, given it would be for didactic purposes and with the addition of subtitles, it definitely has added value.
I was also thinking that, since you like painting, you could select works by various artists and talk a little about them. It could be something random, of course, but you could go for something more carefully structured, too, like colors. For example, choose a painting where the color red is particularly prominent and abundant, then move on to blue, green, yellow, and so on, and that would also be a nice introduction to colors in Swedish. 😉 Or according to the mood they express, the artistic movement to which they belong, an interesting and prominent feature of them, like the usage of trompe-l'œil, dreamlike imagery or the kind of visual trickery so cherished by Escher, or maybe just an element present in them that could serve as an excuse to talk about something in Swedish. For example, if the painting features a chessboard or chess pieces, you could say something about the history of that game, the names of the pieces in Swedish, how popular it is in Sweden, etc.
I'm sorry, I hope these suggestions of mine are not unwelcome or intrusive. 😅
