TheAnonymous Turkey I see what you're saying, in that you don't pay them to blow smoke up your a**, but then, neither do you want to be brutalized and have the love of music and playing beat out of you, either. Ideal way: "Ok, your second kick (of the pair) is softer than the first, here's how you make them identical." In drums, moving 1/64th of an inch means the difference between right and wrong, or too open or too closed. It can put the exact right feel on it, too. So, rather than brutalize a kid and make him damn near kill himself to get it on his own (ie, severe bleeding)...knowing how to fix it expedites things a great deal. Because "notes on a page" ain't always going to help you. jmo/experience
I can't figure out if this film is fantasy or comedy, but I'd agree the acting was excellent and the music was enjoyable. The scariest scene was the car accident. The funniest scene was the three drummers doing caravan for about 5 hours.
Why would it be fantasy? Or comedy? I mean, I fucking lost it every time Simmons threw creative insults at people, but it was a really dark humor. The film wasn't really glorifying that dark humor, making you almost feel guilty about laughing at it (even though it presented it in an almost comical way), so I don't think it would classify as comedy. This was, in truth, a really well done drama
Naju34 Because is was way over the top. Really, who could take that character seriously. Yes, it was a great acting job. But the role was so far far from being realistic.
D Anton Not really, I mean, it is possible. He was just someone with anger management issues and obviously not "mind-healthy". Of course, perhaps nowadays it's less possible thanks to the media, the students would tell their parents, the law, etc
Naju34 C'mon. Throwing a chair at student! Making homophobic and racist remarks. He'd be fired so fast he wouldn't last one minute in the classroom. That said, it was a pretty good film.
