The first time I went to Graceland, I was 8 years old. I've been there dozens of times since then and for a long time, I really wanted to go upstairs. I finally realized that I actually do not want to go into Elvis' personal space and I definitely do not want to see where he passed away. Having said that, I still watch videos like this a lot just out of curiosity. Hitting play right now :)
Jason and Lindsay are fantastic people. How fun it is to have them allow Trey and Billy to do this video tour of the Just pretend mansion. I’m so happy such lovely people built this lovely house like Graceland.

The beginning of this home as it is now is beyond words. It's as if we"re seeing it through Elvis's eyes as he started with his new home. This is going to be a big hit with weddings and company parties and maybe Halloween and Christmas. When Jason and his wife start landscaping the area it's going to really come to life along with the furnishings inside. This is just something on another level. Absolutely amazing. I bet you get a visit from Priscilla when she's in town. I wouldn't doubt it. I know there's a lot of more work to do but you guys are off to a great start. Thank you for letting Trey and the Spa Guy to document this for the fans.

Billy according to someone, I forget who now, said there was a bedroom upstairs they took out to put Elvis dressing room.
It’s the room across from Lisa bedroom. In the bathroom theirs a big mirror that is a secret door into that room in this house.

Where is this house at? ilo the whole house the upstairs doesn't look alot like the upstairs at Graceland but it's nice I've seen the upstairs at Graceland

WOW, just WOW. I always thought the alternate stairs came down in the Jungle Room, but I guess that wouldn't make sense since it didn't exist initially. Did Spa Guy say that Lisa's room was added on when they enclosed the patio?

Great build, guys. I've been to graceland a few times. I just don't think replicating his home is the best thing. After all, Graceland is such a special place. It was Lisa's home and now in the hands of her daughter. I just think it's a bit intrusive on the memory of the man who means so much to the world.
This is just beautiful. I'm a big Elvis fan. If I were to get married again....this would be the ultimate ❤

No they don’t have a basement and that is why he took Elvis office room and painted it in tv room colors

Graceland is not really a mansion in today’s terms. The house in square feet is about the size someone living in an upper middle class would live in. Adding all the additional buildings and all of of Elvis’ memorabilia, along with the memorial gardens takes it over the top. I feel very fortunate that I have been able to visit Graceland. Love my Elvis. This is really cool what you did building this house.
I've got to ask how much did this house cost to build because I really want one too!

Great job folks!! I’ve been hoping someone would do this. I feel like Graceland will soon be open upstairs for private VIP tours. At a SPECIAL price. Now that there is literally only a handful of people that actually lives there and no one’s privacy to violate.

They don’t have the basement so that is why he painted the office room because the tv room is his fav room.. we plan to have a meet and greet there soon so be watching our channel

Supposedly, Elvis had been talking off and on about renovating Graceland about a year or two before his death . So, his den (aka Jungle Room) was almost no more! I think the same was true for many other parts of the home.
It is beautiful. I guess I'm still old fashioned, but I still love Graceland's kitchen. It just feels like home. I was thinking how many years I've been thinking about Graceland and what it would have been like to live there as a kid. That has been nearly 50 years now. When I was a kid I could just imagine laying on the Jungle room floor watch cartoons. Haha..!! 😍 I'm excited for Jason & Lindsay. Not many people can say they own a house that looks like Graceland. I hope they enjoy " Just Pretend " for many years to come. Thank you Trey for sharing your video. Love it!!
I went there as a kid with my dad when Elvis was alive. The downstairs of the house seemed like I was at a magic show. Everything was red and gold and that part stuck with me. I didn't see the house again for 25 years and by then, it had been changed to blues and white, so the red was gone.
@@thesundownersclub3983, right they changed it back to the blue and white after Elvis passed away. I would have loved to have seen it back when Elvis lived there. I bet that was awesome!! When my husband was growing up ....him and his parent's stopped at the gates at Graceland when Elvis was still alive. My husband said back then the gates were either pink or red? I can't remember which one, but I would have even been excited about that just to stand at the gates when Elvis was alive. My husband had two chances to go see Elvis in concert in Atlanta and didn't go. He was a teenager at the time. He said he figured he would get another chance some other time. He really regrets that now. But....he was in Memphis when Elvis passed away. My husband was in the air force and he had to fly out to Memphis to work on a plane. He stayed with his friend that lived in Memphis instead of staying on base and his friend was in the air force too. They found out that Elvis had passed away when they got to work the next day. Anyway...I love Graceland and I love the Just Pretend mansion too. Could you just imagine getting to build your own Graceland? I'd be the happiest woman in the world if I had a house like that. 😀😍🥰❤️
Bonnie, I love the original kitchen at Graceland with all the wood panelling. My house (in Melbourne Australia) was built in 1975 and the kitchen had a lot of dark wood panelled cupboards on the brick wall. I loved that look, but we had it renovated in 2014 and the cupboards are now an off white colour which has brightened the kitchen, but I insisted that the builder left the original brick wall.
@@Patracat , I bet that was pretty. I love brick in a kitchen too. My grandparent's had a kitchen something similar to Graceland's kitchen. They had the dark wood paneling too. They even had the flat carpeting in the kitchen at one time, but they changed it back to a tile floor. They've since passed away. I think that's why I love it so much is because it reminds me of my grandparent's home. Thier house was like home away from home for me.i miss them so much. It was definitely a different era back then. 😀😉❤
Yeah it's nice but there's nothing like Graceland the original and I love the old kitchen at Graceland you have to be rich to build something like this but good luck

Charlie Hodge had told me years ago that he had to move to another room (I think downstairs) because Elvis needed more room for his clothes. So I don’t know if the room or walls were reconstructed. I worked with Charlie for 13 years and I just wish I would have written things down now.
I met Charlie several times at Memories. The room he was referring to downstairs was in the basement. Just as you go down the stairs and make a left like you're going to the TCB Den. There's a door that's almost hidden if you don't know it's there. It's graceland's storage room, then as well as now, but it was used as a bedroom also, first for Jerry, then for Charlie. There is a web series called Gates Of Graceland. Tom Brown hosts. There is a segment called "Hidden Graceland" Tom and Graceland's director of archives go into parts of the rooms not on the tour, and also explore "hidden" rooms. In one episode, she takes Tom into that room and shows him all the Christmas decorations and other items stored away. She mentions how Charlie and Jerry both used that space as a bedroom at separate times
Id like to see it done up how Elvis had it when he "died". The red curtains and furniture. You have to wonder how he would have renovated the house during the eighties and nineties and on. Probably would of completely gutted it.
The actual Graceland wouldn’t need gutting, certain parts could do with modernising. But it’s frozen in time to when Elvis was last alive. I like it as it is

No, I believe the tub was added by the home owners.
I had the pleasure of visiting Graceland many years ago . This couple have done an incredible job of creating this version of the beloved home of Elvis Presley .
