Looks very cool as a stereoscopic TH-cam clip in my Quest 3. But even this doesn't do full justice to how good this would look in a proper made-for-VR port viewed in full stereoscopic 3D, even if still third person, played with a regular gamepad, and just projected onto some virtual screen. I tried the GameCube version of Eternal Darkness like this via the Dolphin emulator and BigScreen, and it was just sooo cool. I truly wish people would make proper 100% compatible and polished VR ports of games like this. And, like I said, it could be as simple as playing them in full stereoscopic 3D on a virtual screen inside some cool virtual room, but it at least needs to be fully polished with no bugs or display quirks to truly do justice to what's possible there. There's entire generations of flat-screen "3D" games that would benefit hugely from this and could be re-released and resold for modern VR users and consumers.
It is important to realize that 3D stereoscopy is actually dead. The market has decided so and there is a small community of enthusiasts who keep it alive. "3D depth shader" is a less precise conversion to 3D, but it can be applied to almost 100% of games. Maybe one day a MOD with a better implementation will appear. Native 3D is practically dead in games. The last 3A game was "Shadow of Tomb Raider".
@@stereoscopicgameplay5579 This is 100% not actually the case. 3D stereoscopy is literally one of the major factors that makes modern VR so utterly stunning and compelling. And VR is absolutely amazing for watching 3D movies too, better than even viewing them at the cinema with those glasses. 3D stereoscopy is is actually more alive today than it has ever been in history. You're just not thinking beyond the use current PC/console game use case you're focused on, but 3D stereoscopy is actually the future, or at least a huge part of it, and absolutely when it comes to XR (VR, AR, MR). So there's a lot of cool stuff to come in that area of technology for sure. It likely won't be the mainstream way of viewing content for some time, but, really, it's only going to grow and get better from here.
Good stuff! 1st thing to mind at starting to walk Jones in the jungle, this in 3D VR! Any playable in VR over Virtual Desktop Classic + ReShade? FPS, stutter, latency wise?
