- After dating for three months, Daisy finally asks Luigi to meet his parents, which wouldn't be a problem ... if it wasn't for how awkward and embarrassing the Marios' parents are. Now Luigi is put through a trial of endurance as he tries to make it through the night of introducing Daisy to his mama and papa.

This is a project that's been a long time coming, from both my end and Monica's (Nintendrawer) end. We've been wanting to make a dub of this comic back when she was still working on it years ago, and now that the entire comic is finished, we're going to make that dream a reality.

There are a few inaccuracies that I, as an Italian, must address. For starters, where’s the rest of the family, packed around the dinner table like sardines and chatting and laughing obnoxiously loud? The endless platters of pasta and other food? The parents constantly shoving more food in your face, not letting anyone leave hungry? And you forgot the #1 rule of Italian dinners-NO ONE leaves without taking at least 5 doggie bags worth of leftovers home!
I’m Italian as well.
There aren’t a whole lot of Italians living in the United States, and I’m pretty sure the creator of this series is American… you can’t expect them to get every authentic detail of Italian culture correct unless that’s something they want to portray, and in this case they don’t.

This comic was really nice. I mainly came for the Luigi and Daisy relationship, but stayed for the family drama. This has potential.

...The Mario Movie was super weird for me, though, because I kept expecting Nintendrawer's versions of Luigi and Mario's parents to be canon, AND THE WEREN'T! 😮Either way, can't wait to show this to my mom, since now she basically understands the Mario Lore because of the movie! X3
I laughed so hard at the end. Poor mario and Luigi had to deal with there parents again but for a week. And all of you guys did an amazing job with this comic dub.

I really related to Lugi a lot in these comics especially with parents embarrassing you mine aren’t it’s just my dad likes to mainly with my current girlfriend as payback and stuff. Not to mention the swimming thing lord knows how uncomfortable I am with my body

I’ve watched these Nintendrawer comics for years… and it’s just a little miracle to finally hear voices put here together after a decade!
I was kind of envisioning Marco and Louise to have that classic, charming Brooklyn twang… but I like the voices chosen here too. Is it me or do they sound more Russian than Italian?

I also liked Luigi in the credits. ☺️💚 Also, this is most likely not gonna happen in the next episode of this series, but I kinda wanna know how Mario and Luigi’s parents would react to all the crazy crap their sons dealt with. Especially Luigi who literally dealt with two mansions and a hotel all full of ghosts! Now that would be an interesting story. 😅

Well Marco and Louise definitely raised two good kids, so yeah they're embarrassing, but if Mario and Luigi turned out to be as good and awesome as they are, then they're good parents ❤

I wonder if it was by chance Peppino Spaghetti at that moment who gave them the pizza or something, and that Peppino Spaghetti doesn't have his own pizzeria for some reason and will work there, as an unexpected cameo (I know, it's not possible besides that the comic is already old and Pizza Tower only came out in 2023, but everything is possible in parallel universes and also one can dream and imagine, besides, it would be super funny if that really happened XD ).

Let's face it meeting the parents is one of the trickier parts of being in a relationship. I know I would be a nervous mess just like Luigi. I'm a very private person and have a hard time opening up about myself.
I remember taking Peach to meet my parents, as soon as I saw Mama Mia take out the photo album, my heart stopped.

That was from Super Mario World, not Mario Bros 3. They are totally different games graphically.
