    I always tighten new knife screws. Or used knives purchased second hand 9/10 times they can use a quarter turn

      Some knives need loctite too

      @@KnifeFanatic oh yeah. Speaking of that, if you dont have time to wait for loctite, use a tiny rectangular shim of plastic from the body of a water bottle. Like 1.5x5mm (or how ever long needed to let it stick out the hole just a bit so you can get the threads on it) The important part is it should feel tight when screwing the pivot back in.
