Greg I like the idea of making the grommets. I have an old battery charger that I am using for electrolysis that needs one so I will follow your lead and just make one from some Delrin.
I just bought some rusty tooling and I was thinking about using an electrolysis rust removal setup instead of the chemical cleaners like Evaporust (I don't have any more and it is still expensive)
Looking good. Although not putting those sliding covers back on in size order really triggers my OCD. Plus it's one more place for grinding dust to get in.
Very nice.
Good thing that motor noise was an easy fix.
If it had been a bad motor, I might have just started over with a different machine. They can be found in my area for not much money (less than $200).
Looks like progress! I am on my 3rd. motor mount setup for my wood lathe!
What happened to the other 2?
Coming along! Glad the motor noise was an easy fix. I see you were getting some snow too through the door window.
Yeah. It's definitely full on winter. We've had some 0 degree and below 0 degree mornings.
I recommend a set of roll pin punches. They allow driving them without slipping off. I love em!
I think about getting a set of these every time I go through this!

Nice job mate 👌🏻
Appreciate it!
The surface grinder is coming together, I made a remover for the wheel hubs, And the thread is 18 TPI. RH. in the hub. 👍
Stay tuned a couple more days. 😉

It's the one thing I didn't pay attention to when I removed them. TBH, I am still not sure I put them back together the right way.
@MyLilMule If it's like my Harig they just go from largest opening to smallest (round hole).
Using an open end wrench that fits your power cord would probably make it a lot easier to tap those bushings/grommets in 💡
Brilliant!
@MyLilMule You're doing a great job reviving the grinder.
It's going to be very useful! 👍
