We had a amazing defensive line, but then 3 engineers created a whole damn house underground and made a entrance (entrance is right outside our line so all the enemies got in and we lost the objective
I make 2 variants of machine gun bunkers, one needs 2 stones and stuff, and one needs about multiple sandbags. Both of them also need the armored mg, because why not? One - Build a roof (i forgot what it's called) on the 2 stones (make the roof is connected to the two rock things), and then put 2 tall sandbags but not really close to eachother, and then dig on the ground a little, and place the machine gun. (Got this from discord) Second MG Bunker Tutorial (i made this with myself.) - Place the machine gun, and put a LOT of sandbags. 15 - Tall Sandbags, 10 - Normal Sandbags. Behind, you need to put 2 sandbags On the sides, you need to put 2 tall sandbags, and stuff. I'll post a tutorial on the second variant.
SavaCH here. I've been called a good engineer once or so, and maybe some people do know me. I'm half a year short on this but I'd like to help you people on at least how to understand how your mind should play out when you're playing engineer, because it's not the same as rifleman, skirmisher, so and so. I'll try to keep it short. There are factors that you need to keep up when playing engineer, such as **time, enemy, allies, terrain**. As an engineer, you hold most of the trump cards one man could ever hold, despite being weakened fighting wise. 1. Understand the TERRAIN AND ENEMIES you are fighting. That word on Sun Tzu that to defeat your enemy you have to know them? Very useful on this one. If they're flanking right, make sure your allies don't get banged from the right. If they're starting to lose momentum? Get your builds prepped up, you want as many land as you can to get grabbed by your own team. 2. TIME. Time, time, time. TIME. EVERYONE forgets this. Everyone forgets that seconds past, minutes past, hours past. AppalachianMenace talked about this especially on HMG, but I think that even then, there are times that building wild Tall Sandbags in the open just doesn't make any sense. However there are some advanced stuff to this. 3. Remember your stance. What I mean by this is that is your team attacking or are they defending? If your team are defending, read the 1st one I've told you. Take advantages over the terrain, scout or ask for people out on where the enemies are concentrating their attacks to. If your team is attacking, don't whine "Engineers can't fight!", even as an engineer main I could push harder than 5 riflemen in a public server. All you need is a reasonable enough skill and understanding of your arsenal. NO, your HMG is NOT your main weapon. 4. Tactics, strategies, these are reaaaall advanced stuff. One of the thing that I'd like to remind you to YOU people, especially those who happen to not have common sense is: Encircling the base with barbed wires is USELESS. Again, as AppalachianMenace said, but no, it's far from useless, it's WORSE than useless. You're ISOLATING yourself from those who attack you, and you're going to slow down your OWN counterattack. Sure, it slows them down, but one artillery and it's all gone. Remember -- even the smallest thing you do, can backfire you. The engineer is called for it's defensive capabilities, but that doesn't always mean he can only cower in fear and build. I made a name for myself even in those mighty enough and they've called me a good engineer, though I'm somewhat retired, sooo yeah. Take a lesson from this old man and maybe do something with it. I haven't seen anyone so and so competetively play as engineer even for a fighting stance once, maybe you could be that person. Hi Appa!!!!!!
Once I was playing Germany officer on somme and we had maybe 5 engineers, those guys just made a single continuous trench that was surrounded by razor wire and sandbags. All I can say is that Germany won that mach decisively.
Great video. I know this isn't the place to ask this (I'd be better asking in Illyria discord but whatever) but I'm thinking about potentially making a faction based on the 36th Ulster Division, and was wondering if, when it is eventually made, Illyria would like to be allied with it?
I literally tell my teammates that actually just not big tunnels but they do it anyway and they just say no tunnels are really important and my response is no it is a trap Listen you can just go in there if you’re a assault or a support because anybody who’s in there yeah you’re freaking dead but every time I try to dig a trench. Everyone ruins it like I have my own private server for trench practicing.
I know HMG's have their downside, but the fact anyone can use it and its pretty suppressive (in the right context) I think it can work. But you have to hide it decent enough. It's probably not going to kill a ton of people but as a support suppression weapon it works well. The amount of times I've seen big pushes being stopped by one HMG and a few riflemen.
idk if i've ever watched this fully, but this is fun thus far at 20ish minutes 33:33 - if i were wasting my time like that, i'd at least put some barbed wire infront and (if possible) behind, so they would be forced to circle around the whole thing 30:07 - lo siento -- sorry (bro apologised . . .)
rare footage of good engineer in battle 😨
That french enginners that builds big defensive trenches on early marne:what did u just say?!

Hi Appa!!!!!!
this man is somehow the perfect combination of calm but aggresive
Engineer best class ( it's a fun class no need to be serious all the time some trolling such as building a trench till the void)
Or barbing your own spawn so it defends when the enemy pushs ( long term investment)

19:22, 29:46, 39:23 Favorite moments
This dude is very underrated like this game
From my experience as an engineer they can be op for assaults if you use the hammers attack correctly it can be really fun.
the RIGHT way to plag engineer

We don’t really make alliances but we can have friendly relations
very informative, many thanks! subbed
17:25 And that's why I don't use melee.
Half of my team were engis. They built the fort of doom at spawn but when it was our then to attack we couldn't make any progress

how (and how not) to play Recon?? next vid?
How about tips on making good trenches?
i use the engineer to just bonk people with the hammer i mean it works great!!!
do you have any tips for spotting as recon?
I do and I’ll talk about some recon stuff next time!!!!
So you’re saying I shouldn’t build an hmg fortress at spawn and make a dumbass tunnel??
0:37
Sorry for almost killing u right there
Big fan!
Do a video about skirmishers and officers.
5:00 me fr where is my team
