- The Sermon today Paster's! So today we are inside this very old church located in Brownsville PA. that is rich in history. As we explore this First Baptist Church we had discovered most things left behind. Not much history as i could not find but did discover a concrete plaque that gave the date 1842 of this church. As of why it became abandoned is a mystery for me. Imagine a place of worship by many for decades left decayed lifeless for a long time now. Come with us as we take you exploring this once very beautifully old church. We were accompanied by tow amazing hearing impaired explorers on their first ever explore. It was refreshing to see that excitement to experience.

This church burned down today. My Grandfather was a pastor in the 50’s. My parents were married there in the 60’s. Thank you for doing this. Sorry you missed the hospital.
I’m sorry to hear the news of this church and it’s demise. I am glad that I had the opportunity to document the inside even though it was falling apart at the time. I was hoping it would be saved by a buyer. But I know all about the property and how it was sat on and other properties in town as well.
Memories will always endure and inspire. Keep those memories close.

I always wanted to see the inside of this church. It’s so beautiful on the outside, sad to see that it is ruined inside. I wish someone could save the old stained glass.
It’s really falling apart. I wish this beauty would some how survive. Brownsville is really gone under. Least on that side of the tracks. I haven’t gone deeper into town.

Yeah that porcelain knob on the joist is the, Knob in "knob and tube" it was an insulator to keep the wire off the wood. Even though the wire is technically insulated.

Sorry I missed live but I think the stove said Frigidaire which was a name for freezers and refrigerators but I didn't know they made stoves

I saw that. Wonder if the previous owner decided to give this and the other properties up. Or maybe the township forced their hand since nothing has been done with it. Hopefully someone will give it what these properties need.

21:28 I believe that is a ceramic insulator, used to carry wires while preventing the wires from touching flammable surfaces.

@@PastLifeExplorer Totally understandable. I love learning. It's frustrating when you want to find out things and dunno how to get the info. The main building in my first Termo building, burned down. I tried to find out why, before I made the second video. But couldn't find any answers.
How dangerous were the floors? We're there nails/rotting wood? Also was it hard to get in or is it relatively simple?
This church actually burnt to the ground today. I'm a local. Not sure if it's arson or not. 🤷🏻♀️
