@@teegloo have you tried playing an aim intensive character at a high level without consistently playing the game? It’s borderline impossible to keep that consistency, especially if you straight up just stop playing the game for a while, I used to be great at counter strike when I played everyday, now that I have barely played for the past 2 years it seems I whiff the most retarded shots whenever I try to play a game casually, aim is way too hard of a skill to just have it at its peak whenever you want.
Shadder got rank 14 after 7 months break and Genji is very aim intensive so it doesn't apply to everyone

It's because they aren't awful. Kenzo had a hard mercy pocket so he's supposed to be carrying. His tank and dps have to rely on the 1 other support to sustain both of them because the support comp they have is forcing Kenzo to carry and not giving the rest of the team any resources
this was so beyond frustrating to watch. you literally did so well, you consistently did well. it's insane how punishing this game is
One of the games you can't solo carry sadly. Gotta find people to queue with and hope it makes the difference

Hey Kenzo! Just wanted to give a reminder that a lot of gm/top 500 players are still in high diamond/masters lobbies since the rank reset. You'll probably face some people with similar skill, but regardless you got this man!
@@raniarieli2162 You do realize that half of top 500 currently is people in masters currently because of the rank reset right? Because of that it’s difficult to climb ranks unless you’re 5 stacking or creating a brand new account.
Also, I’m not about to discredit these streamers. If you think they’ve fallen off maybe you should challenge them to a 1 v 1 😉

@kinshasamadison96 it's not because of rank reset you need 50 wins to place top 500 and most players just haven't won their 50 games yet. I'm gm so I should be top 30 right now but I'm only at 32 wins so im not on the leaderboard yet

T500 was high Masters literally until 3 days before season end last season. (Edit: and all those players are genuine, long-time T500 players. Or do you want to pretend ex pro-players such as Onigod are bad?)
The rank distribution is a relative bell curve and it is as clear as day that the devs have forcefully deranked everyone to make achieving Champion near-impossible.
Before this forceful rank redistribution, T500 started way above GM1.
Pretending this reset didn't happen is just delusional.
Honestly, this is a pretty good example of why win/loss should have little merit in how you're ranked in any team based game, especially in the age of solo queuing. Even with Kenzo taking a break for a month and being rusty, skill wise he's still a top 500 player. Getting dropped all the way down to diamond because of a mix of rust/throwers/stream snipes is just wild. Games really need to find a new way to rank players.
I think how you perform should aid ranking like kills, deaths, assists, dmg and healing. Also if someone leaves then the team should get some kind of compensation. Is it really that hard?
@@anim3793 sounds nice until you examine how stats aren’t something every hero gains at the same rate. Just for a name, a Sombra should never do as much on the numbers that a Bastion can even though that Sombra could run the lobby. Hell, every tank would just go Mauga and every sweaty support would be running Moiras.
@@thatonedude675 OW is unique in that compared to other games with ranked modes. I dunno what the answer is, but a straight up win/loss record just isn't a very good metric (and im not saying ignore it completely, but I just think there should be more metrics involved).
Like, ya sure, extremely good players will carry themselves to higher ranks, but I've seen players in plenty of different games who are clearly good, but get stuck in lower ranks, because you have to basically carry an entire team to move up and not everyone can do that.
@@thatonedude675 the thing is, we don't live in a time where information is hard to get.
The game knows, or at least could be programmed to know the average stats on a micro level. What heroes are currently, at all times getting in average natural value and is one player doing better or worse using that hero at whatever current rank they are in.
These metrics can be updated in real-time; easily. As they reflect real world use and not dependent on win or loss.
Elo hell is real. The problem is certain people claim it always exists when it just exists at various times. But the truth is.... For example here, if Kenzo got 40% more elims as a DPS player and 30% less deaths than the other DPS, he should be closer to ranking up regardless of a win or loss should really be used to matchmake players who have similar stats.
Edit: I should also include that if wins/loses don't reflect ranking it would also eliminate the reportable offenses of boosting AND intentional deranking.
Someone wants to duo up with a pro and get carried? Not gonna happen if they aren't doing their job even with the Pro carry.
Do they want to smurf and throw a few games? They'll still get placed where their individual performance matters and if they are smurfing they'll still rank up (where they don't want to be). Even if they successfully dropped from actively performing badly. The second they step up the game will throw them back into higher ranks.
I was about to put this, bc for 1 its Kenzo 2 he's playing Widow, Cass, & Sojourn, they have good carry potential & 3 he's a Dps player imagine how hard it is for Tanks & Supports

Lots of healers are usually duo’d with someone. So without a good DPS or tank with them at all times most of them are stuck in Plat.
I’ve literally seen Plat healers go into GM just because all they did is queue with a DPS and pocket them. Game is literally DPS needs to kill everyone to win and Tank needs to distract.
Then the second that support solo queues they drop all they way back down. Supports are only as good as the people they are supporting and that’s a sucky way to see it.
What I wanna know if it feels harder in the lower ranks at times when you dont have teammates that follow up as efficiently. Matchmaking is so messed up being the supposed hard carry sucks its more fun when your whole team is playing well especially with some synergy . I always try to swap to something that can compliment my team as opposed to just counter swapping
Playing in low rank is like going to the casino, its fully luck based if you win or not. There are times when I question if my teammates are even human
@turbopenguin758 I feel you mate especially when I'm playing Tank like I'm creating the space I have like their tank and their healers on me , they can't handle a 4v2 against 2 DPS with no heals.
That's the point if you want to climb you have to carry. If your not carrying then your no better than everyone else in that rank and that's when the games are 50/50 and feel like a team diff whenever you lose
Yup I play better in diamond lobbies than I do in gold.
That’s why just playing with the intent to hard carry is better than doing something and then praying your tm8s then respond correctly.

It's so hard to climb these past 2 seasons when winning barely gives any rank progress and losses hurt ur rank badly
What I've learned from this is that even for a top 500 DPS player its impossible to rank up without a consistent pocket.
Having a pocket is a crutch and makes games harder for your team. Your committing an entire support to one dps so that dps has to carry. It leaves your tank and dps with no resources so they aren't going to be able to do as much and will probably get diffed.

i dont understand stream snipers. getting someone like kenzo or kephrii on ur team is just a free win if you try. its like the only time youll have competent teammates and u just ruin it for attention

ranked system is so broken right now, the fact they ban people for "toxicity" but cheaters can go szns unbanned. not to mention getting punished for a leaver after the timer lets you leave counting that game as a "hidden left game" that counts towards the actual leavers penalty which takes 20 games to get back in "good standing" just for leaving 1 game thus they put you in the lobbies with everyone else marked with "ok, bad" standings.

Overwatch ranked is so weird now I just get the worst team every game even if I go 55-3 I will still lose somehow so best thing to do is get a 5 stack I did it and it helped a lot

soloq is the way lowkey if youre tank / dps, sure pocket or guaranteed decent teammate is nice but it q's you also against more groups likely having better players (boosters, smurfs and just more competent players q in groups)
its cool i dropped from plat to silver so im truly almost at the bottom of the barrel and WOW it's the trenches in this rank it really is. now im just playing for fun again and weapon skins lol

I’ve been one tricking widowmaker playing pretty much 4 hours a day since ow2 launched and I’ve wanted to hit gm so badly but seeing this shit makes me think that’s it’s genuinely impossible like I just recently peaked high Diamond no way the dude I’ve been looking up to is also in that same rank

id say diamond is the hardest rank to climb out of, so many people who are there got lucky by being carried by randoms on their team and it really shows

The amount of boosting stacks and clients in high Masters lobbies right now is insane.
Literally every 2nd game is either someone boosting or blatant gold clients running the game down.
Will Blizzard ever do something against this? Their oh so great wide grouping obviously didn't do shit, I know no one who'd consider wide queueing with his Plat or Diamond friends on his GM main account.

I can't remeber a lot of games, when top 50 player could drop to an average or little bit higher than average rank and would struggle to win, it's like in every other games if top 50 player gets in a lobby of an average player it should be the easiest win in his life, why overwatch is so poorly balanced ?
I feel so validated by this. Not to make light of your misery. It's supposed to be a team based game, but if I don't get a raw neutral 5K every fight my team just dies. Trade my life for a 3K and we still lose, I'm clearly just not good enough. Only option is to deathless 5K or it's a loss.

I think the funniest thing is Streamer mod they tried to come up with fake gamertags they probably wasted weeks thinking up the names. When in reality they could of just coded it to say the Heroes name in place of your gamertag.

They go “Widow shoot that guy”. Nobody calls eachother by their gamertags so streamer mode should just say the Hero’s name instead of some trash made up gamertag that Blizzard probably wasted thousands of dollars paying employees to think up.

i feel that Kenzo.... i was a Master/GM Support since ow1 and now after a "longer" break (2 weeks :D ) i got deranked to PLAT 4 as a support and what can i say? so much "bots" toxic throwing/trolling people and the biggest EGOS like for real this is elo hell ELO HELL :D even with a 3 or 4 stack you play against OWL players sometimes :D it feels like it you get stomped and the only thing your team is doing going in alone in a 1v5 or 2v5 its like a shoot this game :D

no hate to kenzo, been watching for years now. but youre only getting most of these because you q with a mercy pocket every game. not saying what you do isnt impressive at all and ur aim is incredibly clean, but we also cant take away the fact that the only reason most of these clips even happen is bc u duo with a pocket mercy
