slow and easy and not getting distracted. working in my kitchen - 4 cupboards done one drawer done. opened door to pantry and have 2 shelves done! boxes of food at front door to donate to the "blessing box". today is trash day and proud of myself for filling up both trash and recycle bins. have a goal today of 2 more shelves and 2 more kitchen drawers. and i be done with 1/3 of kitchen but this is a huge thing for me to do as i am in a wheelchair mostly come afternoon when my legs give out. thanks for the motivation carla!

I love a day like this. The bathroom looks much more manageable and really nails home how you have to stay organised in a small space. It looks so inviting and will make your daily routines much more pleasurable. Plus, who knew how clean those tiles could be. I’ve just had my kitchen knives sharpened and this is a real motivation to cut vegetables and proteins more precisely, it’s a small thing but it has a lot of impact. ❤

Yes - I have been following April's channel; The Suitcase Designer for quite a while. I like her style of organizing. That little shelf unit in your bathroom is the perfect fit and it's cute. And whenever you have pets, there's always the "hidden" area & secret pet hair stash, ha ha ha. This coming from someone that has cats, so I can relate; hair balls like little tumble weeds!

Greeting Carla, Wow, that is so beautiful that April sends you a beautiful gift box of self-care. Carla, you did an excellent job in your bathroom. You are a great motivator and TH-cam mentor to many of us here on Facebook. When cleaning my bathroom I also Strub my bathroom floor the same way by hand in my Brooklyn New York Apartments. I also have clear organization in my office/bedroom for my organization for my makeup. When we live in apartments we have to create our own extra space and it is all about making space by organization. The hat storage is a great idea for storage.

Love the prints, the dining nook will be so pretty. Also another April fan here! Although I'm almost certain I discovered you both around the same time. For the bathroom, did you think of a taller shelf with closed doors? Yes this is really dependant on your personal style and I like this shelf, but seeing you reorganize and clean it in every single video makes me wonder if maybe it just doesn't work in that space. Now I saw that the wall behind isn't exactly straight (/ has an angle), so obviously finding a shelf that would fit this shape would be perfect but is almost impossible unless you comission someone to make one. Besides that I think a closed one or at least one that's half closed would be much better for you, I can't say what clutter type you are though (if you know the clutterbug system?). You seem to be the open organisation type which is fine, I'm just wondering bc my solution might not be the best one depending on your preferred organisation style. But I still think that anyone benefits from at least a half closed shelf in the bathroom. Even if you forget stuff behind closed doors, you could still just store toilet paper in there or every day stuff like a curling iron that you definitely won't forget; plus you only need to clean half of it. But having this weirdly shaped and a bit too big open shelf seems tedious to me, not only bc of the cleaning but bc it makes your bathroom look even tinier.

An idea for ugly ac unit: get a beautiful tapestry (because of its size) and have a task rabbit or handy friend make you a frame, like for a stretched canvas, then wrap the frame with the tapestry!
