    How is it holding up after a year’s use? Are the thumbscrews strong enough to hold the centre tube in place when it’s both vertical and at an angle?

    Hi
    I want to share my experience with K&F with you.
    I purchased K&F’s TC2335 in September last year for my vlogging camera. Whilst I was away on a photography trip in December, two of the tripod feet fell off. The feet are a push on design. I contacted K&F and they told me that they don’t have spares. I asked them to replace it under warranty and they ignored me. I have contacted them a number of times and they don’t return my emails. K&F take exception to the warranties that they will honour. I would not buy from them again.
    Great video by the way.

    I bought this for my binoculars for hiking/camping etc and they are perfect, if not a little heavy on longer hikes. The smooth ball-head panning for glassing was very important for me as was it's extension height, me being 6'1. Glassing with anything but calm, smooth movement becomes very unpleasant very fast and eye fatigue sets in quick. I love how smooth and precise I can be when scanning and not shake my eyes. Fully extended it is plenty tall enough for me also. I recommend this tripod for the price. If I could afford carbon I would have preferred the weight I would save but other than that, no complaints at all.

    Is it compatible with Fujifilm XT3? After one year what are your thoughts? Just got mine TM2534T and i already found some issues with the plastic o'rings used on each leg. I untightened more that usual and the plastic orings just fallen down broken in two pieces. I have contacted the company today and i am waiting their comments and solution

    Great video. I was thinking about getting one of the K&F tripods, but then I noticed something watching videos. Since the quick release knob and the spirit level are on opposite sides of the plate, one of them will be under the camera??? Seems like an idiotic design to me. When you have your camera mounted in the video...the bubble level is under your lens??? If it were the other way it wouldn't be much of a quick release (at least not without some inconvenience and struggle)

    • @DamianBrown
      @DamianBrown  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, it's kinda annoying! I use mine all the time but still it's a bit awkward. I have a simple little spirit level that I can put anywhere if I really need to.

    Great review man! I jus have one quick question...
    What are the exact real dimensions of it?
    Because in the official web site it says 4 different heights!
    14” and 19” when it’s folded and the 66” and 72” when it’s fully extended! So, which are the real ones?
    I would like to know exactly how many cm it is the very smallest and tallest you can get from it.
    I hope you can help me out with this one! Thanks and keep doing these vids! Greetings from Mexico!

      Did you ever find out the full fold down dimensions?

    • @chiraagshah269
      @chiraagshah269 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From my understanding, these are the heights of the tripod and the monopod respectively. I think the monopod height is the bigger of the numbers, in each pair (ie 19" and 72").

    "The winning feature" Damian, I agree, I am looking for a suitable set up to do archive work shooting straight down to the floor at 90 degrees. Please can you report on how stable it was with your Camera fixed on? There are a few things that I don't understand. The most important one is this: The advertising image shows the arm being able to slide back to counterbalance the weight but it doesn't look like you can actually do that, can you?

    This is a good tripod and a step up from your Velbon. However this is not in the same quality or performance category as a similar Manfrotto. Thank you though for sharing your thoughts on this.

    Re-branded tripod from China? So what, if the quality and the functionality are there? If I'm thinking about the brand name on my tripod when I'm composing, I'm not focusing on my composition. Although at 2:24 I did notice a dent in the centre column.

      I'm sorry - after rereading my comment it sounds like I'm being critical of you, and that was not my intention. I was, in my mind, being critical of those who might turn their noses up this product, due to its source. K & F Concept makes some nice gear that is also excellent quality.

    • @DamianBrown
      @DamianBrown  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@metalmick99 I agree with you Michael, absolutely. I always find it funny how people are so quick to relate made in china with inferior product when
      China is the factory of the world and produces a lot of great stuff. K+F have had a good sized stand at the photography show in the UK for a few years now as well.

  • @V4D2
    @V4D2 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes,Damian.
    These are pretty good bang for buck tripods. I have got the same one and the one without the movable column.
    They're not the greatest in sturdyness..but they get the job done.
    And yes...the lens dumb adapters they sell are great .
    Did you keep the off-brand macro extension tubes for the Fuji ?
    How are they testing in the long run?
    Do you use them much?
    Thanks. ;)

    You came so close to showing us. Yet so far.

    Nice video but you were lucky to receive your tripod. Well sir, I have bad experience with K&F concept. I orderded a tripod and instead of delivering it to my adress they sent me off and on to the local post office to collect it there and in the post office they had nothing to show for. After numerous emails I just got some vague instructions to collect the tripod. Mind you, I paid for it 7 weeks ago. Beware for these people, if you are lucky you get your orderded stuff. In my case...I will go to my local photo shop, pay at the counter and leave the building with a tripod. Never K&F concept again.
