Greatest Mpc ever made and i have had all of them at one time or another. It just hits different!, people do these stupid comparison videos but what they don't get is that the magic happens when you sample in with hot levels, salute!

At least for sampling I still have an EMU Esi 4000 Turbo, which of course won't provide a MPC workflow for creating music but still is a nice piece of gear. Once I can find the time, I will un-dust all my stuff from the cellar and start having that original feeling of the good times again :-)

@@eddieleonard6925 Yup, cold and calculated transient detection chopping is great for making a quick drum kit, but chopping up a melodic sample is an art within itself. Autochoppers are making themselves a disservice for sure
Muscle memory on the 3000 is amazing. I started out on a 2000 in the 90s and would love another. Been too long in front of a computer, but it took a long time to stop using the Akai. I was producing house and techno, nothing like your sound. But I love watching the flow of real beats people like yourself. So glad your channel was recommended to me.
House and techno are sister genres to hip-hop and machines like the 3000 definitely get loose with a nice house groove. I also used the 2000 and really like that machine, but for me, the 3000 is the only sampler where everything is in exactly the right place. Cheers, and thanks for checking out the video.

just discovered you man. this is awesome. I’m rolling with 2 technics 1200s, sp404mk2, about to pull the trigger on a 2kXL.. I’m really not trying to get the one with 8 outs as I don’t have a mixer to even accommodate that, just a rane 2 channel mixer for scratching and stuff. My workflow (i’m hoping) is use the 2kxl to sample and produce the beat and track the master into the 404mk2 for effects. Looking to go completely DAWless. Also, you are on another level with your gear. your analog compressors and such are a beauty to look at and you have possibly the best studio i’ve ever seen. ❤️❤️❤️
I just came from your 8 outs 2Kxl video😅.. I’m honestly a broke college student who is trying to rationalize not spending even more money on the 8 outs to be honest, but the way you explained it makes sense. the 8 outs I can always add in later right ?
That's a GREAT setup. You don't need 8 outs, the stereo outs sound very good. Just go stereo out into the SP like you planned and you can add fx, etc. The 8outs is just a nice added feature for those who have outboard and/or a mixer. You can always install it later.
