Babymonster wasn't discovered from a tv show, YG decided to show the girls evaluations from their trainings days, up until the very last evaluation to select the final members. It was such a great marketing strategy bc I fell in love with all of the girls and their talents even before they debuted. Please check out their evaluations to get a better sense of them 🤗🤗🤗
The third rapper with pink outfit is Enami Asa from Japan. She's the main rapper of the group but she got a really nice vocals too! She once cover the EMINEM's fast rap "Godzilla" and also cover "Look Alive" by Joyner Lucas which is super fast as well, please check it out 🙏🏻

You absolutely have to check out more of Babymonster because their talent levels are absolutely insane like they are truly dangerous. They have videos for Batter Up and Stuck in the Middle that only feature 6 members as one was on a health hiatus, plus a beautiful video for Dream, the song they released after the member announcement. You guys absolutely wont be disappointed!

That was not any TV Show, it was their Last Evaluation (selection of the final members for the group out of the 7 members). Initially Mr. YG (Yang Hyun-suk-CEO of YG) had in mind that he will form this group with 5 members but eventually after the Last Evaluation series from the pressure from people (YG Fam) he kept the group with 7 members.

If you’d like to learn more about Babymonster, I recommend checking out their pre-debut content starting with their individual Live Performances (1-7 in order + a dance performance), then their individual Introductions where you learn and see them progress over their years of training at YG. They also have a show that you’ve mentioned, but it’s not really a true survival show. These members have already been training together for 2-4 years. The show is great bc you get to see what their monthly evaluations are like and how the girls work together to complete different missions/tasks. The show is really addictive so I highly recommend it. The Performances are amazing. Charlie Puth gifted the song Like That bc of Ahyeon’s cover during the show. He was impressed by her performance. BABY MONSTER has the best vocal of the fifth generation (BLACKPINK is third generation), I recommend the covers of BABY MONSTER (clean version) so that you can appreciate its wonderful vocals, and also the music videos, DREAM, BATTER UP and STUCK IN THE MIDLE (the last 2 videos only had 6 members because AHYEON was sick) that's why SHEESH is officially the debut song, because YG said that the group would not officially debut until AHYEON joined the group.
Ok. But blackpinks girls werent best vocals of generation. Im a blink love them. But they were not even in top vocals.

the rapper with pony tails is Asa, their main rapper, she is multi talented, the main dancer as well, can sing, co-composed and co-writter their debut song "Batter Up"
they did not come from a reality tv show. They were recruited by YG 3-6 years ago and trained just like Blackpink. Blackpink actually mentored them and were very impressed with their skill level for a bunch of teenagers.

It was not a reality show. YG wanted the group to be 5 and after he got it down to 7 he did an 8 week show introducing them and doing their last evaluation which you need to see. Their skill level in every category is unmatched in the music industry and they are going to dominate for the next 10 years. You have only seen the tip of the iceberg as far as their skills go.

That's true. But to be fair that was 5 years after their debut. I cut my teeth on Blackpink in 2019. Blackpink is the G.O.A.T for sure and I don't think any group will accomplish what BP has. If any group has a shot it is Baby Monster. I love both groups.

honestly i don't like when others compare BLACKPINK and Babymonster. Some come off as like oh they are new group forget about BLACKPINK which gets on my nerves. I think it's Blackpink + Big bang / Treasure / 2ne1 = Babymonster ❤. It's in their yg bloodline ..
Check out the b-side song "Like That" from this same mini album. It's an all English bop written by Charlie Puth(which is very noticeable) and given to Babymonster. It gives very strong late 90's, early 2000's R&B girl group vibes like Destiny's Child. No m/v for it yet, so you'll have to check out a color coded lyric video, but hopefully YG hears everyone demanding for a video for it and puts one together. I can pretty much guarantee you guys will love it.

You both seem in the know about Baemon but did you know that 6 of the members are under 19. The youngest, Chiquita, from Thailand, just turned 15 in February. So in order of appearance...Rora, 15 (on the piano); Pharita, 18 (says Baby imma monster); Chiquita, 15 (6 months younger than Rora); Rami, 16 (in the eye of fire), Ruka, 22 (in Yellow); Ahyeon, 16, actually turning 17 on April 11 (in blue); Asa, 17 (black and pink).
I don't know if you know this but both Blackpink and Babymonster are cut from the same cloth, and by cloth I mean production company...YG entertainment. This similarity you hear is the "YG formula". It works.

The blonde in the beginning is Chiquita, she’s Thai like Lisa from Blackpink and that’s her idol as well as the other Thai member, Pharita. 3 Korean members. 2 Japanese members. 2 Thai members.

Nopez Baby Monster did no came out of a TV show, the group was formed before YG released the "Last Evaluation". The group has been training 4-5 years (except for Chiquita) already prior to the "Last Evaluation" series. Chiquita joined YG in 2021 and after 3 mos of training YG decided to include her to the group because she is exceptionally ralented and no fear attitude.

Pre debut song Dream OT7, Batter Up and Stuck in the middle. Both OT6. Ahyeon was sick and could not join the other girls. That is why Sheesh us the official debut OT7. YG could not wait as they had already launched with Pepsi Thailand and Pepsi Vietnam in early January 2024 whereby Batter Up OT6 was used As the Pepsi jingle nationwide TV, radio and streaming platforms with Baby Monster girls OT6 on large posters on buses and trains.
