It makes me think that a lot of these, in this Troop, are monkey's that have been raised by humans and dropped off when they reached adolescence. They will perform for food/treats because they would have been taught that by their captor. What a sad situation. Wild Monkey's know to go to the Trees and wait out the storm. These Monkeys have no survival skills.
These animals live in an area that has tons of places to get under cover yet none of them take advantage of them. Even a chicken will seek shelter in the rain. Why people think these tree rats are so smart I have no idea, because even a RAT will find shelter!
I have viewed many macaque videos, and I agree that monkey parks must have thousands of places that are suitable for sheltering rain; underneath boulders, small caves, thick jungle canopy, the parts of roofs that extend beyond a building's edge, inside roofed trash areas, and underneath vending machines. I don't think there is any reason, even if other hostile monkeys are about, that there are not plentiful shelter opportunities. Unless the monkeys think that the person making the video is going to feed them; could that be it?
@@barrybrevik9178 I agree, and I think a lot of them have been re-released after being taken as infants and then dropped off when they reached adolescence. They have no survival instinct, and it doesn't help that these camera people continue to feed them.
Here is the problem. Normally they would climb trees and seek shelter under the trees foliage but because you all are giving food in that area they will not leave and act as normal monkeys. You are the reason they are cold and soaked thru.
Also, that's Jerry and Janna, with baby Candy, I believe. They were pets who were abandoned. Maybe they just don't know? Or maybe you are right and they want to be wherever the people are. They did take being abandoned incredibly hard. Poor things.
Even if not one of those monkeys was a pet, they are wild animals that live in this hot and humid climate. They're not cold. The rain doesn't bother them any more than it bothering birds, cows, etc. If your theory is right, they're waiting for food. But why? Are they that messed up that they don't try and seek shelter?
Something they've been doing for centuries With what passes for intelligence with them, u think they'd scuff together some sort of shelter...they don't really think [what?!] to far ahead tho, huh?
A lot of folks forget a lot of them are babies. so picture a two year old. Ou t in the rain. Super sad. Also, when they wre pets in a home, a lot of them would poop themselves and run to hide under something because of the thunder. Now they are out in it with thunder and lightning! Holy smokes!
Hummmm !? This is interesting ! If there is shelter there why don’t they use it ?? I will Haft to investigate this ! I didn’t know this ! I was thinking they all went to the trees for shelter! Hummm???
In early times this was a form of torture for human beings they would tie a man up and put him under dripping water and leave them there and they would go crazy and beg for death
Even if sitting in the rain was actually "torture", no human being has any obligation to provide shelter for those screaming leeches. Besides, every moment they spend in misery is a net good to the world.

2:33 if u notice the camera crew threw them in front of the camera. They were scared to go to better place to shelter
Damnnn
These people are ruthless.
I love their faces when it rains haha

click bait you throw the two monkeys beside the two monkey. the hand of the cameraman caugth on cam ..
Well-spotted!
😂😂😂😂
They always hug, rain or shine.
Looks like there's a white building behind them and they lack the common sense to go in and get out of the rain. No pity for tree rats.

They live in this. It's Cambodia and it's hot and humid there. Get a grip please
You can't do that; they are wild animals and they must adapt themselves to harsh living conditions or they cannot survive at all.

How cold is it?? Arent they in a warm climate?
But still, it turns cold when it rains.

Pity me ass. Monkeys have been living in the rain for around 55 million years. Kind of hard to say it's a pity after that long.
