I wish Perfect World had had one of these videos. Or multiple. Until Archeage, PWI was the only MMO I ever cared about. Thank you for this informational video. It is much MUCH appreciated. I didn't know about the mount thing. I thought I was supposed to keep my mount unsummoned so people wouldn't one shot it.
I've been playing since CBE1 (July) and I still enjoyed this video alot :) I didn't know there was a guide to hidden quests, appreciate it, and valuable and great tips!
Archage was dull for me especially on trade quests when i was low on level, but the community with a car or a carriage will drive by me will ask if i needed a ride to my destinations and from that on it really put a warm feeling into my heart that makes me have the most enjoyable experience i had in ArcheAge.
It might have been said here in the comments, but I don't feel like reading all of them.. If you have shadowplay and have the "drop back" skill, when you close your glider, if used right before you hit the ground you take no damage. It takes practice, but it's really helpful! Cheers!
Tip when you do mentoring at dungeons you get companion growth stones wich gives 10k exp to mounts/battlepets, i have done them so i have 20stones saved. When i get mount i want i will use them to lvl it fast
A must watch video. Some of it is basic knowledge to some, but even after I've done my research of the game and beta tested, there was a tip or two I didn't know about.
Good line-up of beginner tips. One point I have an issue with: combat pets, it is very useful to level your combat pet, they provide stuns. also, since your video the have allowed both mount and combat pet to be summoned at the same time which definitely helps with leveling them both, instead of spliting the exp while leveling.
Oh and yea, I've found out that the most fun you can get in the game is climbing up a tall hill and gliding from town to town.. I love that. Also, Those ledges in the valleys make great places to put your seeds to grow since most players don't cross there much.
about the fall damage thing.. u can tell when ur going to die from falling when ur character slowly starts to fall backwards looking as if hes going to land on his back/head.
just have a tip for your tip with the glider , if you have drop back , just jump from the very high place and then just before falling to the ground press the button for drop back... BOOM just evaded the fall dmg
Very nice tips Fevir. DUDE, I didn't realize that you could minimize the minimap. Lol, that is a dam big map and sometimes its annoying. Thanks for that! I guess the not-lethal fall damage is not about the faction/race. Apparently the fall damage is not lethal at all, but you get stunned by a couple of seconds and your health is reduced almost to null. In pve it couldn't mean nothing, but in a war zone, those seconds could cost your pretty flesh and soul x_x' Keep it up, Peace.
with the fall damage you can negate alot of it if you have the drop back skill from shadow play, fly over the target or quest item press R or leave your glider and at the last moment hit the drop back skill. takes some practice but in the end its much better than just dropping and having to lose life, waste mana. pots or food to heal back up. think a few other skills might help with fall damage just one i happened to randonly do. hope this helps
I love Archeage. Theres soo much to do. Im a f2p player and still manage to have fun. I dont try to be the best. I just try to be good and still enjoy the game and be random. It can be frustrating at times though with a small inventory and only 2000 labor points.
As a F2P player I'm always out of labor points. I also didn't pre-order this game, because it did have some flaws (and it still has). I'm going to wait and see how this game turns out, perhaps I will continue on with it and get a subscription and really put time and effort into my character and guild. I don't want to spend money like I did on WildStar and be disappointed with the endgame content. I'm back to this channel because your ArcheAge videos are very interesting! Yeah... I guess I don't have the founder status, but that's alright. I don't want to walk around like I was super convinced about this game from the start anyway, since I honestly wasn't. But I'm hyped, currently level 16, going for 50 soon. Hopefully the queues will start to drop now that there are new servers (and yes those were also immediately in queue)... Let's go guys :D

I don't get why people hate on this game it's really fun even for a free to player I play for long period of times and I don't get bored because of all the things you can do especially with that master glider that makes gliding awesome i can fly all day long cuz it's so fun and trade runs are super awesome cuz it's like role playing taking your pack into your ship across continent for higher amount of gold and the map is huge so it's awesome :D

Vojta Mrlina I now totally agree, everyone was so right >.< It was all really fun until I got to 55, finished all my questlines, finished my base obsidian armor and started trying to get it celestial, it got very boring and just lost interest because of nothing to do.
Theres some extra hidden quests that no one has discovered yet. similiar to the super cool ones that main characters in mmorpg anime/mangas find. I've discovered a hidden quest chain by finding a sword at the bottom of gwenoid forest lake which apparently is only available for firran. It lead me all over finding obscure npcs thats smiliar to the king author story, so maybe ill turn the sword into Excalibur lol probably not but im stuck and i havent been able to find the next hidden npc to continue. sorta like dream ring.

Yeah.. there is a reason why people complain they cant see the name of spammers and its not laziness. You can expand the window all you want and change font size but certain bots are taking advantage of the no chat scroll. It is impossible to block them without finding them at the starter zones and passing the name around for people to block.
ive been playing this recently so far the main issues i have is the limit on characters i can make, though i also sort of prefer a bit more advanced character creation on more then just the face if they could've done more for the rest of the body would've likely been quite a good character creation though the face is still a relativly good face customization. only gotten to lvl 16 on two characters but so far think its a relatively good mmo though im mainly just playing it off and on at the moment when not playing the mmo i usual play.

Game was fun 2 months ago in that Beta but I haven't played since because of connection issues. Are there a lot of restrictions like in SWTOR, or is it like RIFT/Path of Exile which is basically free?. Are the restrictions game breaking or something minor like not being able to sell in the AH
The game has pretty much no restrictions, you can pay 15$ a month to gain access to anything or pay about 100-150g in-game (varies depending on your servers econ) to buy the patron status. 100-150g will take you about 3-4 days of farming.
Pro tip the "pro" forgot. If you have shadowplay you can use Dropback just before you hit the ground (if you close the glider or are going to take fall damage) to negate all fall damage. Enjoy :)

Ludwig van Ditten the main thing is that it's going to be very hard for them to merg servers later on. Since this game has a big focus on land ownership with houses and farms. Even if the people get everything reimbursed, chances are you wont be able to rebuild in the same spot, or at all for that matter on the new server.

Zeerekbloodhoof rift style sounds more correct- but i never played rift. you can earn the paid option through in game gold... in terms of easy class options.. archer>melee>caster

Most class combinations are viable, so just play what you want and if you dont like it you can always change it ingame(you have to level the new skill tree up though).
Denver Marks you should announce in the forums. The market for those goods is really, REALLY active and people with other crafting skills need an non-stop incoming flow. You can make a really good money with that.
Fevir where can I get the archeum founder pkg items? I bought a archeum founders pack but Im in que to get into game. Do I rcv that in my bags or I have to go to a mail box to get them?
Go to archeage support and either turn in a ticket. 90-120 hours to respond. Or start a live ticket. Which has a long queue time depending on when you join it.
Fevir Oh so rng-based + tons of crafring? Thats the worst combination ever, i think ill pass on AA it sounds waay too anoying + tab targeting which means everyone in fight hops arround like a bunny...
Fevir I dont think i would have much fun crafting or raising cattle :) i wanna be a warrior in game not a farmer lol. I dont know those crafting stuffs always turned me off i never enjoyed that in any game i played and its seems to be too big of a part of AA to just skip it. I really dont know what would i do in AA coz its seems like crafting and beeing farmer is all ppl do. Maybe some ship battles that doesnt look very interresting to me. Combat looks OK but nothing special for 2014, but yea since all my friends dislike AA ill probably wont play it coz it doesnt look like fun game to play alone. Also how big of a deal is to come "late" into AA, are ppl too ahead with crafted stuffs, do they have best land taken for them selves?
Archon331 you can become a pirate and Steal trade packs from other players, lot of ppl have fun with it. You can spend a lot of time in prison but some players find it fun so w/e only when you get caught =P
I disagree with the "you want to get all the XP you get from quests" statement quite a bit. As you level up your proficiency in a crafting skill the XP you get from burning labor on it rises quite a bit. 230% to be exact. Once you are maxed proficiency you can power level any tree rather quickly if you run those trees while burning labor. You can also power level any tree to max in 1-2 days of farming mobs in Aegis if you have a tree you can swap out without your build falling apart too much. Questing is really great early on to get your foot in the door to high level play. It's also very good to do certain dailies for the rewards they provide such as Hiram dalies for infusions. Overall though, once I hit 50 I'm done with questing for good. Much better ways to make some fast XP past that point.

Why do you say combat pets are not worth it? I get combo's off my pet bleeds and there DPS is still free DPS. Also your number 6 fall damage and not dieing you did that with a cat try that will another race and your dead.
***** You can level the mount just by riding it but battle pets only get exp in combat and they add to the combat so its silly not to have them. I have killed people with pets already and if a combat pet is the difference between win or loose I think they are worth it.
Erik Fruto the amount of time it takes to effectively level your mount is ridiculous- and in most pve and pvp cases your combat pet is not even a factor

Lol keep it summoned and get the gear for them battle pets are helpfull too if you are squishy let the battle pet tank it

Two things, 1) Falling down can and will kill you if its to high. 2) Some gold spammers can not be blocked since they have name changers as well.

Fall damage can kill you. The reason why you're able to survive because your character is a feran which has reduce fall damage
you forgot to mention fishing as fishing with lvl 1 lure grants 5-6k xp every 15-25 sconds

you are what your skills are. If you level up sorc vit witch.. then you are just as good as people who started with it

Most class combinations are viable, so just play what you want and if you dont like it you can always change it ingame(you have to level the new skill tree up though).

Denver Marks you should announce in the forums. The market for those goods is really, REALLY active and people with other crafting skills need an non-stop incoming flow. You can make a really good money with that.

Go to archeage support and either turn in a ticket. 90-120 hours to respond. Or start a live ticket. Which has a long queue time depending on when you join it.

Fevir Oh so rng-based + tons of crafring? Thats the worst combination ever, i think ill pass on AA it sounds waay too anoying + tab targeting which means everyone in fight hops arround like a bunny...
Archon331 It's heavily based on trade. So you could craft armor.. or raise cattle. The game isn't set on the gear treadmill that most mmos are on
Fevir I dont think i would have much fun crafting or raising cattle :) i wanna be a warrior in game not a farmer lol. I dont know those crafting stuffs always turned me off i never enjoyed that in any game i played and its seems to be too big of a part of AA to just skip it. I really dont know what would i do in AA coz its seems like crafting and beeing farmer is all ppl do. Maybe some ship battles that doesnt look very interresting to me.
Combat looks OK but nothing special for 2014, but yea since all my friends dislike AA ill probably wont play it coz it doesnt look like fun game to play alone.
Also how big of a deal is to come "late" into AA, are ppl too ahead with crafted stuffs, do they have best land taken for them selves?
Archon331 you can become a pirate and Steal trade packs from other players, lot of ppl have fun with it. You can spend a lot of time in prison but some players find it fun so w/e only when you get caught =P
I disagree with the "you want to get all the XP you get from quests" statement quite a bit. As you level up your proficiency in a crafting skill the XP you get from burning labor on it rises quite a bit. 230% to be exact. Once you are maxed proficiency you can power level any tree rather quickly if you run those trees while burning labor. You can also power level any tree to max in 1-2 days of farming mobs in Aegis if you have a tree you can swap out without your build falling apart too much.
Questing is really great early on to get your foot in the door to high level play. It's also very good to do certain dailies for the rewards they provide such as Hiram dalies for infusions. Overall though, once I hit 50 I'm done with questing for good. Much better ways to make some fast XP past that point.

i wouldn't really say each of these tips were useful and that any of these were pro tipps.. maybe 1 or 2.. but some were kinda usefull.. so thanks :D

Why do you say combat pets are not worth it? I get combo's off my pet bleeds and there DPS is still free DPS.
Also your number 6 fall damage and not dieing you did that with a cat try that will another race and your dead.
You are better off having your mount/donkey out to level them up

You can level the mount just by riding it but battle pets only get exp in combat and they add to the combat so its silly not to have them. I have killed people with pets already and if a combat pet is the difference between win or loose I think they are worth it.

Erik Fruto the amount of time it takes to effectively level your mount is ridiculous- and in most pve and pvp cases your combat pet is not even a factor

Fall dmg CAN kill you if the jump is high enough.
Unless you have the Firran 'fuck fall dmg' ability active of course.
