A strong defensive performance should have guaranteed Ilford a point at high flying Gt Wakering but a last gasp penally awarded in the 96th minute gave GWT the opportunity to take all the points.
Ilford had remained strong throughout, limiting GWT to a few half chances until an added time second yellow for Jaques Leurs reduced IFC to 10.
