Yes I get the awareness raising helps generate more donations but are there more strategic and longer term plans to support the short term giving ? When you go to the countryside in Thailand they are all growing food or catching fish ..why have the Balinese forgotten how to feed themselves ? There are at least 100 fishing boats at virgin beach. Why aren’t they helping each other ? Maybe you need to teach them how to plant seeds and grow food or give them fishing rods to catch food , then they can be self sufficient. Not being mean it just makes more sense to me 🤷♀️
The people we help are mostly elderly or disabled. Can't get transport and live in remote areas. There is no pension or disability support here, it's up to the community to help

Not sure if you know but Balinese in the villages sleep on hard surfaces often for the coolness, even my wife and kids do it and they have beds.
