I saw a tutorial on this, but it was a sequence of photos, seeing an actual video has been really helpful :3 I need to try this out! Thanks for sharing!
Love! I want to try this! Puffy I used to work alot with clay and have tons and tons of clays in various colours and supplies, I know you live near Australia, if you are interested please let me know, eventhough I know you like to use cold porcelain. Or maybe you know someone locally who would be interested? I have been mostly just drawing with coloured pencils lately and so all my supplies are just sitting there :-(
I think it's called a *kneaded eraser* in English (kneedgum in Dutch). It's a soft eraser you can kneed and/or use little pieces of etc. and you don't have to rub over what you want to erase, you can roll over it or dab it, and it will stick to it. Very useful on delicate paper or when you want to use waterpaint over that spot, because normal erasers alter that spot, it affects the tooth of the paper.
ILoveJustinBieber ThereforeImaBelieber The rubber to make the stamps? You can get those at your local Michael's store or local art store. Or look on amazon.
this tutorial is so good! you make me want to do eraser craving >.< I am planning to buy eraser blocks on etsy now because of this tutorial LOL is it necessary to also buy rubber stamp carving tools or a hobby knife will do everything? thanks for making this tut btw :)
I suggest to use hobby knife, it's more flexible when it comes to fine details. But it takes twice the time as a carving tool, because you need to use 2 steps to carve out the 'v' rather than the single move by the caving tool.
can we use wax paper instead of tracing paper thx please reply to me i rlly want to make this but i do not now where to buy tracing paper so anyone please reply to me thx :)
reusable adhesive. usually to hold something lightweight like poster, cart, mahjong paper (the big white sheet usually use for presentation)etc...this stuff is just like a chewing gum but u can't eat it though :D

What brand of rubber block do you use? Is the texture soft or hard?
Looks soft to me😞
Apparently it's a paper eraser? I don't think hard or soft matters as long as you can cut it easily

I made eraser stamps back in high school for my art class. mine came out funny looking lol
Another quick question-what is Blu-tack and where is it available?
Thank you again for a great tutorial.
Hi shellyqt! It is available in many craft stores and home development departments. If all else fails it is online!
It's like a sticky clay thing that doesn't dry...it has lots of names but just look in a stationary shop and
You could also use a clay eraser

Im Tong it's called an xacto knife... you can find it at art stores, Wal-Mart, Amazon...also in wood carving sets

yes you can ~ I use parchment paper which is really close to wax paper. You could also use a thin sheet of computer printing paper. c:
awesome
Cool!
who's gonna do all that work! carving an unbroken egg would easier for me 😂 anyways, well done!
its cool idea

what is blu-tack
reusable adhesive. usually to hold something lightweight like poster, cart, mahjong paper (the big white sheet usually use for presentation)etc...this stuff is just like a chewing gum but u can't eat it though :D

ทำง่ายจุง
Oh my! You should check out mizutamahanco on instagram. She does beautiful eraser stamps.
Good vid, but anyone else get motion sickness watching the carving speed up?! A fixed camera would have helped.

That's what i thought too !!!! I love tonari bo seki-kun !
HATCH the carved area lmao
