These sets are beautiful! So much detail, joy and charm in so little space, particularly with the Sakura Park. Since I'm a Japanese Language Teacher in my country, I'm too much into Japanese themed toys n.n And I like the Kumamon minifigure, actually n_n Waiting for the next reviews of this series! ^O^ About Kumamon, is the mascot of Kumamoto prefecture, in southern Japan. It makes sense it's a bear, since the "Kuma" kanji in "Kumamoto" means bear. Prefectures and even towns in Japan have their own mascots, so they are quite popular, and for some reason Kumamon stands out more.
Thank you so much for the info. Uh oh. No worries more reviews coming soon. I finished all the sets and love them. They are just a little bit expensive unfortunately.
so much fun! love the hot spring (and the slippers again 😀) and sakura park...as for the fabric- it looks to be good quality and i like that they chose to use flat rounds to hold the fabric, looks good. overall its neat how much detail they packed into these sets. thanks Scottie!!
Sembo block usually does the fabric thing and seems to be a hit or miss just cause it’s not a Lego piece. You don’t see them all the time so I welcome it. You could always just take them off and keep the flat round pieces on hahahah
@@brickmeupscottie A reply from the man himself! I am more into the medieval style buildings - Like the setts from Urge (altho they arent original I believe ? ) and Lord of the ring scenes. Castles and stuff. But I also really liked your video that went into the journey to the west minifgures - unknown minifigures are cool to see!
I highly doubt it. License is $ and they’re really stingy how they sell it so it’s quite limited. I think continue would just cost a lot but at least there’s 9 of them.
The sets look really nice - I like all those prints - but they are quite expensive for the amount of stuff you get. I like the face of the mini figure from the Ramen shop. Nice video, as always, but the bear with that bloody saber in its paw was a bit of a shock. I didn't know such accessories for mini figures existed (sabers yes, but bloody sabers?!).
I was talking to Ida about the cost issue. A couple of things happening with brands. First is the licensing deal, it’s expensive and they’re prob not allowed to sell outside. Second they are refusing most sellers to purchase for sales (which is why you probably can’t find them). Third, limited, these won’t be around much longer unfortunately…so it’ll be the only run of the series. Kinda sucks cause even I saw the price and was like really? I purchased them for myself not knowing hahaha but ida loves them so much she insist I review them all. The good news I built them all and they look great….but yea then the bad news. Lol. I’ll mention it in the next set of reviews. And yes sorry for the shocker saber hahaha it was the only weapon I had lying around but you’ll see it in the next review which I’ll prob get in trouble for once again.
Hi Scottie! Love your series. I lost my instruction booklet to the Sakura Park set. Would you mind helping me out with the instruction? Thanks so much in advance!
Everyone seems to loose their instructions...my excuse is these sets a the ones from the past few months have been stored away in boxes and are quite hard to get to. Whenever I get to them I'll try to find it and pull it out. Unfortunately new ones are boxed and sealed along with the bags so I can't open them.
Chris has a long term job to do. Unfortunately he was supposed to come back but now he prob won’t return until after the new year. Good news is you’ll hear him in older videos I haven’t gotten to yet.

@@brickmeupscottie Oh, thank you! :o
I like these little cute sets. Thanks for this presentation.
Your very welcome. They are cute but damn I just found out they’re not cheap at all hahah.
The hot spring set looks great! Thanks Scottie! 👍👏
You’re welcome!

Deer seems so sad without eyes... I would watch your back if I were you. I like the sets. I really appreciate you reviewing things that are different.
Hahah deer has a new set of eyes again.
Amazing different set style with interesting bear
More bear sets soon!
the sets are fine. I like the design but i have no idea about this bear.
Nice Video
Me too. So many more upcoming licensed sets and I have no idea about the characters hahaha
I hope Panloss will continue this series, maybe it will be possible to build an entire japaneese style city

i love hot springs =D
I prefer the ice cold bath hahah

How did I miss this? Sorry Scottie! (This is Kurosaki).
Many have missed my videos. No need to be sorry, happens quite often.

Great video review. Does Kumamon come with the gun and knife?!
Hahaha nope. I just randomly pulled those out. Everybody seems to love the knife.
Waa I like the ramen shop and the hot spring.
Where is Chris, btw?
Chris has a long term job to do. Unfortunately he was supposed to come back but now he prob won’t return until after the new year. Good news is you’ll hear him in older videos I haven’t gotten to yet.
The standing Kumamon figure is just slightly too large to fit through a train door, thus making it a very realistic depiction of a Japanese mascot
Hahahh good to know...just like me.
😍
I like these sets but this kumamon thing is creeping me out xD (Seems not that well known here in europe)
There’s a few more I’ll review…hopefully not as creepy.
@@brickmeupscottie Although i am afraid, i am looking forward ;)
Really don't understand why these Chinese manufacturers keep rebranding and rebranding 🥴
They look cooler I guess lol.
